Week of July 5, 2026 – Firework finished’ gates, bizarre bezoar inquiries, sod-planted ploughs, plenteous puff pastries, Indian-bison bargaining, and absolutely splendid steaks

7/5/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the low 90s. Very stormy midday, but not much rain.

7/6/2026: Today began in the mid 70s and warmed into the low 90s. Mostly sunny morning. Afternoon began with nearby storms that never arrived.

7/7/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the low 90s. Scattered showers (so far very little rain here).

7/8/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the low 90s. Sunny and rather hot morning followed by a partly cloudy afternoon.

7/9/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the high 90s. Quite hot and dry.

7/10/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the mid 90s. Mostly sunny morning followed by a little bit rainy afternoon.

7/11/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the high 80s. Rainy morning ensued by a slightly rainy midday.

Final Note: In a week of ‘firework finished’ gates, bizarre bezoar inquiries, sod-planted ploughs, plenteous puff pastries, Indian-bison bargaining, and absolutely splendid steaks, I think it’s a fine time to remember that even though all that complexity is phenomenal, that complexity is not a requisite for remarkability. The simple things – such as a sodden Saturday afternoon at the writing desk – are just as capable of fostering fulfillment.
