Week of January 7, 2024 – When life gives you puddles.

A morning activity: I made this blueberry pie for our neighbors to help them celebrate the new year. Una actividad matutina: Yo hice esta tarta de arándanos para nuestros vecinos para ayudarlos a celebrar el año nuevo.
Lunch consisted of a leftover piece of the pie from last night reheated and accompanied by a salad made by Padre and dressed by Madre. El almuerzo consistía en un pedazo sobrante de la tarta de anoche recalentado y acompañado de una ensalada verde hecha por mi padre y aliñada por mi madre.
Dessert: A sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon. El postre: Una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela.

Dinner was constituted of a pan-seared Belgian Blue burger steak accompanied by a salad of red cabbage, green cabbage, tomato, cucumber, and roasted pepper. There was also a bowl of sour cream for dipping the meat. For lunch, we ate sushi and miso soup. Today, the sushi was especially good because of the extra time that it was in the cooler. The texture was firm and the flavor was fresh. Dinner consisted of a Wagyu shoulder roast. This roast was cooked inside a 350 F for around 4.5 hours. When we plated it, we accompanied it with a simple salad of Romaine lettuce, tomato, and arugula. For dipping the beef, we used mustard. La cena consistía en un asado de hombro de wagyu. For lunch, we ate taco salad. This salad consisted of romaine lettuce, spinach, green cabbage, green curly cabbage, red cabbage, sliced avocado, a seasoned mixture of ground beef and ground lamb, two types of salsa, and a little bit of sour cream. I prepared this chicken for lunch., It was dry-brined for a day, and after that, it was stuffed with half a lime, six cloves of fresh garlic, and of course, a large sprig of fresh rosemary. This is a pizza that I made for dinner. It consisted of a sourdough crust, homemade tomato sauce, ricotta, dried oregano, mozzarella, and quite a bit of olive oil. These ingredients were dressed with a combination of barbecue sauce and sour cream.
