Week of May 3, 2026 – Photo club visit, drought continues, line of dance, & a hint of adventure soon to come.

5/3/2026: Today began in the mid 50s and warmed into the high 70s. Sunny.

5/4/2026: Today began in the high 50s and warmed into the low 80s. Very sunny and getting dry again.

5/5/2026: Today began in the high 50s and warmed into the mid 80s. Sunny.

5/6/2026: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into low 90s. Quite sunny.

5/7/2026: Today began in the high 60s and warmed into the low 90s. Sunny and dry.

5/8/2026: Today began in the low 70 and warmed into the high 80s. Cloudy morning. Cloudy afternoon. 

5/9/2026: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the 80s. Slight rain around lunch.

Final Note: It’s about time to head off on another adventure again. This time, we’re bound to end up in our intended destination: a fine week – a better than fine week – in Puerto Vallarta where toes shall be soaked in the sea and tacos shall be consumed in quantity. Even better, the four of us, Padre, Madre, my brother, and myself, will be together for the first time since August of last year. I look forward to it very much.

I made another recording of this song, A Summer Idyll by Victor Herbert, because it conveys a similar feeling to the drought presently being experienced. It has the somewhat melancholy sound of sandy soil, of worn oaks, and of privation that has gone on too long:
