Dinner consisted of a fried mixture of eggs and leftover Mississippi pot roast. This was accompanied by a simple salad of spring mix and tomato drizzled in a balsamic vinaigrette. Lunch consisted of a tray of sushi and a bowl cabbage and avocado salad. I made that salad today because the people in the restaurant did not remember to include miso soup with the order. Yo hice esa ensalada hoy porque la gente en el restaurante no se acordó de incluir la sopa de miso en el pedido.

After writing, I searched for the exact coordinates of the property’s border. I need to do this so I know where to put the holes for the cement pillars that are going to be the foundation of Guesthouse. Lunch: A mixture of scrambled eggs and sautéed ground beef. This was topped with a little bit of Cholula hot sauce and accompanied by a salad made by Padre and dressed by Madre. El almuerzo: Una mezcla de huevos revueltos y res molida salteada. Esta estaba cubierta con un poco de salsa picante Cholula y acompañada de una ensalada hecha por mi padre y aliñada por mi madre. 
While I was turning on the water for the garden, I saw this tree that had fallen on the fence beside the road. On finding it, I helped Victor bring supplies to fix it. Mientras yo abría el agua en el jardín vi este árbol que se había caído en la cerca al lado de la carretera. Al encontrar esto, ayudé a Victor llevar materiales para arreglarla.

The dinner pizza of 4/6/2024: A sourdough crust topped with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, Italian sausage, and mushrooms. La pizza de la cena del 6/4/2024: Una corteza de masa madre cubierta con salsa de tomate casera, mozzarella, parmesano, salchicha italiana y hongos. 
Dinner consisted of some pieces of the aforementioned pizza accompanied by a simple salad of spring mix and fresh carrot. La cena consistía en unos trozos de la pizza ya mencionada acompañados de una ensalada simple de mezcla primavera y zanahoria fresca.
Final Note: It’s 1:47 PM on a Sunday afternoon (4/7), and the midday siesta is just about to occur. Before it does, though, I must make note of the weather. It is sunny. The temperature is slightly above 70 F (21 C). There is a slight breeze billowing through Jacobhouse, carrying with it the freshness of the outdoors and the sounds of warbling wrens, and though my hands and feet feel slightly cool, it is that pleasant, smooth sort of coolness that is simultaneously superficial and refreshing. I’m not sure what exactly perfect weather would be, but this must be close to it.

At least turtles seem to enjoy the heat, Tortuga. Though, I’m not sure if their human friends always feel the same.
