In the morning, I prepared a barbecue-style stew for dinner, using pieces of beef shank, tomato sauce, and spices. En la mañana, preparé un guiso estilo barbacoa para la cena, usando trozos de pierna de res, salsa de tomate y especias. 
This was the lunch: a fried mixture of eggs and barbecue-style beef, accompanied by a green salad garnished with three slices of fresh tomato. Este fue el almuerzo: una mezcla frita de huevos y carne de res estilo barbacoa, acompañada de una ensalada verde adornada con tres rodajas de tomate fresco.

Dinner consisted of a barbecue-style stew topped with avocado slices and accompanied by a green salad made by Padre. There was also a small slice of pizza (also made by Padre). Además, había una pequeña rebanada de pizza también hecha por mi padre.

To start our lunch, we enjoyed a bowl of miso soup garnished with avocado, spinach, green cabbage, and a little Belgian Blue beef. Para comenzar el almuerzo, disfrutamos de un tazón de sopa de miso adornado con aguacate, espinaca, repollo verde y un poco de carne de azul belga. 
The main course consisted of a platter of sushi accompanied by a bowl of soy sauce and two slices of lime. El plato principal consistía en una bandeja de sushi acompañada de un tazón de salsa de soja y dos rodajas de limón verde. 
The dessert was a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and served with a spoonful of Greek yogurt. Everything was drizzled with lime juice. El postre una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego. Todo estaba rociado con el jugo de limón verde. 
An activity in the afternoon: my father, my uncle, and I gave hydration fluids to a calf to balance the fluids and acidity in its blood. Una actividad por la tarde: mi padre, mi tío y yo le dimos líquidos de hidratación a un ternero para equilibrar los líquidos y la acidez de su sangre.

An afternoon activity: Padre, Wag, and I gave intravenous fluids to a calf to balance the acidity of its blood. Una actividad de la tarde: mi padre, mi tío y yo le dimos líquidos intravenosos a un ternero para equilibrar la acidez de su sangre. 
Dinner consisted of barbecue-style stew topped with some collard greens and accompanied by a salad of lettuce, tomato, carrot, and more collard greens drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette. In addition, there was a slice of pizza that my father had prepared. La cena consistía en guiso estilo barbacoa cubierto con un poco de repollo verde y acompañado de una ensalada de lechuga, tomate, zanahoria y más repollo verde rociada con una vinagreta balsámica. Además, había una rebanada de pizza que había preparado mi padre.

Lunch on February 4, 2026 consisted of the remains of the barbecue-style stew covered with green cabbage and accompanied by a colorful salad made by Padre. El almuerzo del 4 de febrero de 2026 consistía en los restos del guiso estilo barbacoa cubiertos con repollo verde y acompañados de una ensalada colorida hecha por mi padre. 
The dessert: a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and served with a spoonful of Greek yogurt. El postre: una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego. 
This morning I gave Mr. Doug food. Esta mañana le di comida al Sr. Doug. 
These are the shoulder steaks I prepared for dinner, seasoning them with salt and black pepper. Estos son los bistec de paleta que preparé para la cena, condimentándolos con sal y pimienta negra. 
Today I cleaned the horns of #7,128 again. Now they don’t smell anymore, and I can move forward with the process of making drinking horns. Hoy limpié los cuernos de #7,128 nuevamente. Ahora, ellos no tienen olor y puedo avanzar en el proceso de hacer cuernos para beber. 
An afternoon activity: Padre, Wag, and I gave intravenous fluids to a calf to hydrate it and balance the acidity of its blood. That calf smelled awful. Una actividad por la tarde: mi padre, mi tío y yo le dimos líquidos intravenosos a una ternera para hidratizarla y para equilibrar la acidez de su sangre. Esa ternera olía horrible. 
Today Victor built a wooden box to surround the planter that is in front of the store. Hoy Víctor construyó una caja de madera para rodear la maceta que está frente a la tienda. 
Another activity this afternoon: I refilled the brake fluid in the car. Otra actividad por la tarde: rellené los liquidos de frenos en el carro. 
The dinner consisted of reverse-seared wagyu shoulder steak, accompanied by a green salad and a piece of cheese bread. La cena consistía en bistec de paleta de wagyu dorado al revés y acompañado de una ensalada verde y un trozo de pan de queso.
2/5/2026: Today began in the mid 50s and cooled into the low 50s before cooling further as evening came on. Cloudy morning followed by sunny afternoon.

There were a lot of people in downtown Ocala tonight, so I needed to park in this spot. Había muchas personas en el centro de Ocala esta noche así que necesitaba estacionarme en este lugar. 
Dinner consisted of a salad prepared by Padre, topped with pieces of leg of lamb smoked by Mr. Brimage. It was delicious. La cena consistía en una ensalada preparada por mi Padre, cubierta con pedazos de pierna de cordero ahumado por señor Brimage. Fue delicioso.

On the morning of February 7, 2026, I prepared two types of cookies to share with family, friends, and Master Blend customers. En la mañana del 7 de febrero de 2026, preparé dos tipos de galletas para compartir con familiares, amigos y los clientes de Master Blend. 
Lunch consisted of beef sausages covered with mustard and chopped onions, accompanied by a green salad garnished with pickled cucumbers, a piece of bacon, and some sardines. El almuerzo consistía en salchichas de res cubiertas con mostaza y cebolla picada y acompañadas de una ensalada verde adornada con pepinos encurtidos, un trozo de tocino y un poco de sardina.

Final Note: A couple interesting thoughts came to me this week, both in response to the still-novel foray into a new hobby. Firstly, I find it interesting how dancing has increased my appreciation for tempo. In applying this to songs I’ve already learned, it seems to clean them up, giving them a neater finish that they did not have before. Secondly, I mentioned recently that if the studio was closer, I would probably be there every night for a group class. It is good to recall, though, that being left wanting is a better state of affairs than over-satiation and to desiring less. In short, being left a little hungry after a meal is far more favorable than gorging one’s self to the point of bursting.
Now, returning to the note on improved tempo, here is Tip Toe Thru the Tulips, one from 5 years ago, and one from yesterday. The former version isn’t bad, but to my present ear, it now sounds a tad “squishy”. The new version is much cleaner and “snappier”.
Divergent experiences this weak, from great meals enjoyed in a warm abode to what started to turn into the routine of enduring subfreezing temperatures. I no doubt prefer the former, the juxtaposition offered context though that increased my overall enjoyment in the end. As for the music, I appreciate the concept how a significant change in one area of a person’s life can influence one’s broader scope of experience and in this case expertise. Understanding this, one can utilize this concept to ones advantage, because significant changes do not only come in positives ways and this knowledge can help prompt further change if needed.
