11/23/2025: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into the 80s. Cloudy morning. Sunny afternoon.
On the morning of November 23, 2025, I found 18 duck eggs in the duck house. En la mañana del 23 de noviembre de 2025 encontré 18 huevos de pato en la casa de los patos. 
Clean duck eggs. I used hot water. Los huevos de pato limpios. Utilicé agua caliente.

This morning, Victor installed a nest along the edge of the duck house. Esta mañana, Víctor instaló un nido a lo largo del borde de la casa de los patos. 
This afternoon, I prepared osso buco for dinner. The first step was to brown the meat. Esta tarde, preparé osobuco para la cena. El primer paso fue dorar la carne. 
After browning the meat, I added the sauce, spices, and vegetables. Después de dorar la carne, agregué la salsa, las especias y los vegetales. 
I covered the trays with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning. Cubrí las bandejas con papel aluminio para evitar que se quemaran.

11/24/2025: Today began in the high 50s and warmed into the low 80s. Quite sunny and dry.

Lunch consisted of a fried mixture of eggs and “beef chuck pizza”. This was accompanied by a green salad drizzled with a spicy vinaigrette. El almuerzo consistía en una mezcla frita de huevos y pizza de paleta de res. Esta estaba acompañada de una ensalada verde rociada con una vinagreta picante.

Lunch consisted of a tray of sushi accompanied by a bowl of miso soup garnished with avocado, spinach, and green cabbage. El almuerzo consistía en una bandeja de sushi acompañada de un tazón de sopa de miso adornada con aguacate, espinaca y repollo verde. 
After lunch, I prepared dinner for tonight and Thanksgiving lunch. Dinner was going to be London Broil and Thanksgiving lunch was going to be a black turkey. Después de almorzar, preparé la cena para hoy y el almuerzo de Acción de Gracias. La iba a ser un London Broil y el almuerzo de Acción de Gracias iba a ser un pavo negro.

One morning I needed to rearrange two halves of beef because one half had two more boxes than the other. I discovered it was just a mistake in the amount of ground beef. On Thanksgiving morning (November 27, 2025), I made three trays of chocolate chip cookies. En la mañana de Acción de Gracias (27 de 11 de 2025), hice tres bandejas de galletas con chispas de chocolate.

After letting it rest in the freezer for two days with a dry brine of seasoned salt, I coated the turkey with butter and roasted it for almost two hours in a 450-degree F oven. Lunch on November 29, 2025 consisted of beef sausages, bacon, sardines, and salad. El almuerzo del 29 de noviembre de 2025 consistía en salchichas de res, tocino sardinas y ensalada. 
The dessert: a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and accompanied by a spoonful of Greek yogurt. El postre: una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego. 
Dinner consisted of a fried mixture of duck eggs and beef. This mixture was accompanied by a green salad made by Padre. La cena consistía en una mezcla frita de huevos de pato y carne de res. Esta mezcla estaba acompañada de una ensalada verde hecha por mi padre. 
Tonight my parents and I started this book of questions and conversation topics. It seems like a good book. Esta noche mis padres y yo comenzamos este libro de preguntas y temas de conversación. Parece un buen libro.
Final Note: It is something many people say: “Once I reach / have / finish ______, things will be so much better.” What I have always found, however, is that no matter what goal or sought-after-concept is reached, there will always be something more: something to want, to change, to improve, and et cetera. To some, that may sound negative, but in reality, it is a very good thing.
It is good to always have something to strive for and to look forward to. That is living. The point that I am making here, however, is that is extremely important to make certain that happiness and satisfaction is not contingent on a future. The present is all we have, and as the farm and life and logic has ever-taught, we can only make the best of what we actually have.
Also, that was a really tasty turkey.
No matter what’s happening, pretty sure the now is all we have. Looking back through this past week, so many tremendous meals and farm shenanigans. Life around the containers is interesting no doubt.
