Week of November 23, 2025 – Ossobuco, tomahawk, & a particularly delicious Thanksgiving turkey.

Final Note: It is something many people say: “Once I reach / have / finish ______, things will be so much better.” What I have always found, however, is that no matter what goal or sought-after-concept is reached, there will always be something more: something to want, to change, to improve, and et cetera. To some, that may sound negative, but in reality, it is a very good thing.

It is good to always have something to strive for and to look forward to. That is living. The point that I am making here, however, is that is extremely important to make certain that happiness and satisfaction is not contingent on a future. The present is all we have, and as the farm and life and logic has ever-taught, we can only make the best of what we actually have.

Also, that was a really tasty turkey.

  1. No matter what’s happening, pretty sure the now is all we have. Looking back through this past week, so many tremendous meals and farm shenanigans. Life around the containers is interesting no doubt.
