Lunch: A fried mixture of eggs and leftover birria beef. This mixture was accompanied by a green salad made by Padre and dressed by Madre. El almuerzo: Una mezcla frita de huevos y res de birria sobrante. Esta mezcla estaba acompañada de una ensalada verde hecha por mi padre y aliñada por mi madre. 
Dessert: A sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and accompanied by a spoonful of Greek yogurt. El postre: Una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego. 
Dinner consisted of pan-seared Belgian Blue shoulder steak. This beef was accompanied by a bowl of a combination of sour cream & horseradish and by a green salad made by Padre. La cena consistía en bistec de hombro de azul begla a la sartén. Esta res estaba acompañada de un tazón de una combinación de crema ácida y rábano picante y de una ensalada verde hecha por mi padre.

Today’s lunch consisted of a tray of sushi and a bowl of Miso soup. All of the food was delectable. El almuerzo de hoy consistía en una bandeja de sushi y en un tazón de sopa de miso. Toda la comida estuvo delectable.

The dinner of 9/4/2023: An oven-roasted Belgian Blue eye-of-round. I cut it into slices and served it with a simple salad of arugula, romaine lettuce, and red cabbage. La cena del 4/9/2023: Un asado de nalga de Azul Belga al horno. Yo lo corté en rodajas y lo serví con una ensalada simple de rúcula, lechuga romana y repollo rojo. 
A delicious dessert of a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and accompanied by Greek yogurt and some walnuts. Un postre delicioso de una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego y unos nueces.

The dinner of 9/5/2023: A fried mixture of eggs and birria beef on top of fresh tortillas and accompanied by a salad of red cabbage, green cabbage, tomato, cucumber, and olives. La cena del 5/9/2023: Una mezcla frita de huevos y res de birria encima de tortillas frescas y acompañada de una ensalada de repollo verde, repollo rojo, tomate, pepino, y olivas.

Today I went on a ritsabittle to Silver Glen Springs with Maribel. There, we walked along a wild path with fallen branches, ticks, mosquitos, and even alligators to Lake George. After that, we returned to the springs to swim. The water was very cold, but it was refreshing, too. It was definitely an adventure. Hoy fui en un ritsabitle a los manantiales de cañada de plata con Maribel. Allí, caminamos por un camino salvaje con ramas caídos, garrapatas, mosquitos, y aún caimanes al Lago de Jorge. Después de eso, volvimos a los manantiales para nadar. El agua estuvo muy fría pero estuvo refrescante también. Definativamente fue una aventure.

After English class, I put a pizza in the oven. It looked like a simple cheese pizza, but the sauce was unique. Después de la clase de inglés, yo puse una pizza en el horno. Se veía a una simple pizza de queso, pero la salsa estaba única. 
Dinner consisted of some pizza dressed with a sauce of tomato, mushroom, and prosciutto accompanied by a salad of cucumber, red cabbage, green cabbage, and fresh tomato. La cena consistía en alguna pizza aliñada con una salsa de jitomate, hongo y jamón acompañada de una ensalada de pepino, repollo rojo, repollo verde y tomate fresco.

“You know, Raz, I think we were wrong.”
“I think we’ve been wrong about a great many things, Aury. It reminds me of that Tilling Land braintickler. You know… that one about the farmer and his cow?”
“I don’t.”
“Ah, it’s a good one. Short, too. There once was a farmer and cow living on the shores of Dundy. That cow was a proper pain in the arse because she’d only come to the barn when there was to be one of them summertime spéirlings. As a matter of fact, that was the only reason the farmer kept her around rather than sending her to market. She’d saved him a great deal o’ damage and trouble, because whenever she came running, he’d know: a storm was headed and it was time batten the hatches.”
“So this farmer… He was living on a boat?”
“It’s a figure of speech. Means—”
“I know, Raz, I know. Twenty three roundings and he still can’t tell if I’m serious.”
“My ma and pa were bemused by one another on the daily when they’d been bound forty-nine.”
“Gods…”
“Right? Well, one day, the cow came running, and the farmer and the village folk all got ready. They put their belongings in their well-built houses, they locked the shutters, they barred the doors, and they waited. And they waited. And they waited still more, but no storm came. Eventually, that frustrated farmer announced that the cow must have been wrong. There was a great deal of grumbling, but he released his cow back to the pasture, and the entire town returned to normalcy.”
“…Is that it?”
“It is.”
“Really?”
“What do you want me to say? A storm showed up two days later and wiped the town off the map?”
“It would be a mite more interesting, and the riddle would not change in the slightest.”
“AH, so you’ve divined the tickler without my telling, have you?”
“Simple. Who was the most wrong? The cow… or the farmer who not only believed that the cow could predict the weather but, too, believed she could do so with perfect accuracy? Simple arithmetic speaks in favor of the beast. But now I’d like to know what that story has to do with us.”
“Well, you’ve already gone and solved the hard part, so why don’t you tell me?”
“Because I want to hear it in your words, Raz.”
“Hmph, very well. Greater propensity for thought brings about greater propensity for error. Thus, when it comes to more thoughtful individuals like you and I who are, how do you say… ‘on-in-our-years’… I’m of the belief that we’ve generated a number of errors far greater than all those inspired by that cow in the Dundian village. Which, now that I think of it, you were about to heap another on top?”
