This afternoon (9/29/2024) after lunch I processed the cream in my refrigerator to make homemade butter. I had stored the cream in my refrigerator for three weeks so the result would have the flavor of cultured butter. Morning of 10/2/2024: This is a new breed of cow called “Hairless Wagyu”. This calf actually had a serious illness and is now losing its hair (although its health has greatly improved). Lunch consisted of Wagyu sausage stuffed with cheese and jalapeño. This was accompanied by a salad topped with slices of avocado and hard-boiled egg. For dinner we had leftover beef from the night before mixed with rice. The rice absorbed the juice and fat from the meat and was very tasty. This morning (10/5/2024) Mr. Brimmage brought baskets to test in the freezers at the Master Blend store. They look nice, and I told him that all the meat will sell out very quickly now. Lunch consisted of leftovers from the previous night’s dinner. After that meal, I prepared two steaks for today’s dinner. One steak was encrusted with salt and black pepper and the other with salt and sesame seeds. El almuerzo consistía en sobras de la cena de la noche anterior. Final Note: It is presently 5:21 PM on Sunday 10/6/2024, and it is raining outside. It has been a week rife with activity, and progress has been made in all zones: Master Blend, writing, Guesthouse, school, farm & etc. This activity may extend to the evening hours today, as we are presently waiting to see if cow #533 calves or if we will need to walk her up from the back pasture to aid her. Furthermore, we are amidst hurricane preparations for Mr. Milton. It will be interesting to see what sort of “adventures at home” occur in the coming week.
