Week of September 29, 2024 – Flags planted, hydraulic head-chutes, gates painted, Thor’s hammer, & Lampiña.

Final Note: It is presently 5:21 PM on Sunday 10/6/2024, and it is raining outside. It has been a week rife with activity, and progress has been made in all zones: Master Blend, writing, Guesthouse, school, farm & etc. This activity may extend to the evening hours today, as we are presently waiting to see if cow #533 calves or if we will need to walk her up from the back pasture to aid her. Furthermore, we are amidst hurricane preparations for Mr. Milton. It will be interesting to see what sort of “adventures at home” occur in the coming week.

I took this photo on the morning of 6/10/2024. I wonder if these rains today are a precursor to the hurricane.
Tomé esta foto en la mañana del 6/10/2024. Me pregunto si estas lluvias de hoy son un precursor al hurucán.

By the way, this was the inspiration behind the naming of our hairless Wagyu calf:

La Piña Lampiña
A veces mi Comadre me enseña nuevas palabras a través del buen humor.

(Update 6:06 PM 10/6/2024): Madre has just visited #533. The cow had just calved, and she was licking the little creature off.

A new calf in the evening of 10/6/2024. Un nuevo ternerito en el atardecer del 6/10/2024.
