9/25/2022: Today began in the mid 60s and warmed into the high 80s. Dry and sunny throughout.

Bovines eating breakfast. In this picture, #41 can be seen to the left. She is waiting for me to move so she can join her bovid brethren in their consumption of fodder. 
Lunch of 9/25/2022: A large Padre-made and Madre-dressed salad topped with crisp & sweet cherry tomatoes. 
For dessert, I enjoyed some cinnamon-sprinkled banana accompanied by a clementine. Both fruits were at their prime.

Dinner of 9/25/2022 consisted of: reverse-seared Belgian Blue London broil, cucumber salad, and a glass of Yellowtail Merlot. It was an excellent way to finish up the week and begin the new one.

9/26/2022: Today began in the high 60s and proceeded to warm into the high 80s. Sunny throughout.

Today’s lunch was procured from sushi bistro. This is the Miso soup topped with thinly sliced mushrooms and whole pea pods. 
The soup was followed by the delicious sushi itself.

Dinner of 9/26/2022: A delightful repast of Belgian Blue burger-steak accompanied by a Padre-made & Jacob-dressed salad. Mustard made for a fine condiment.

9/27/2022: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the high 80s. Cloud cover was constant. Breezy.
Dawn of 9/27/2022. 
For lunch of 9/27/2022, Padre, Madre, and I ventured to Hacienda Colombiana #2. There I got the grilled chicken, and… 
…to the side, was served a fresh salad consisting of lettuce, tomato, celery, and a little bit of ham. There was also some crispy Yucca fries.

On taking a picture of Jacobhouse, I found it belit by the sky’s lavender hue.

9/28/2022: Today began in the low 70’s and drizzly. Very little wind until noon when the breeze began to pick up. Winds reached 20 MPH by late day.
The dawn of 9/28/2022. Hurricane Ian had arrived in the form of a light, drizzling rain along with a slight breeze. 
I am almost done with the first bag of coffee beans that Madre gave me. The flavor is strong – almost acrid – and carries hints of something that reminds me of chocolate. Quite enjoyable when accompanied by seltzer water. 
A mushroom pizza made for the lunch of 9/28/2022. 
The full lunch spread of 9/28/2022: Mushroom pizza along with a steamed head of broccoli. I dressed the broccoli with olive oil and balsamic. Then, after I was done with it, I dunked my pizza into the remaining vinaigrette.

A satiating salad comprised of Romaine lettuce, purple onion, purple cabbage, hard-baked eggs, and a Balsamic vinaigrette.

For the night of 9/28/2022, I closed up the end of Jacobhouse. On returning indoors, I found a banana spider taking refuge between the storm doors and the sliding glass doors of the office.
9/29/2022: Today began in the low 60s and remained in the 60s and 70s for the remainder of the day. Drizzly rain at the beginning, and breezy throughout.

The lunch of 9/29/2022: A savory and satiating repast of slow-roasted Belgian Blue chuck. The beef was tender and moist, and the juice that cooked out of it was an excellent condiment for the Padre-steamed broccoli floret.

The dinner of 9/29/2022 consisted of a salad topped with hard-baked eggs. Excellent for the health and for the tongue.

9/30/2022: Today began in the mid 60s and warmed into the mid 80s. Mostly sunny.

A cool day with bright blue skies. This is a picture of the beef herd waiting to go into the barn to eat.

For lunch today, Padre, Madre, and I enjoyed a meal at Latino’s y Más. I ordered the chicken quesadilla plate with extra lettuce and proceeded to mix everything up into a large salad. It is probably one of the best dishes that I have enjoyed at this restaurant. The improvised salad is admittedly less attractive than this original plate, but it is far less messy (and much more enjoyable) to eat.

10/1/2022: Today began in the high 50s and proceeded to warm into the low 80s. Sunny throughout.
Dawn of 10/1/2022. 
The light lunch of 10/1/2022. Our main course was a large Padre-made & Madre-dressed salad. 
A dessert of apple, clementine, and Greek yogurt. 
A bit of broken fence that I’ll be repairing at some point in the near future. This was caused by a tree which fell during the recent bout of tropical weather.

A delicious dinner of Belgian Blue short ribs (reverse-seared) accompanied by cucumber & cabbage salad. Condiments consisted of mustard and homemade no-sugar-added BBQ sauce.
Final Note: Though we made plenty of preparations for the approach of Hurricane Ian, I am happy to say that most of those preparations were not needed. Furthermore, the weather has cooled, allowing for the enjoyment of outdoor activities and for the opening of windows at Jacobhouse.
