Week of November 19, 2023 – Thanksgiving 2023 & sampling the world.

(Above: Thanksgiving dinner consisted of: roasted duck, roasted vegetables, potato salad (with onion and dill), sauerkraut with sausage, and some thick duck gravy. All of the delicious food was made by Aneta of Aneta’s Bistro.
La cena de Acción de Gracias consistía en: pato asado, vegetales asados, ensalada de papa (con cebolla y eneldo), chucrut con salchicha y alguna salsa gruesa de pato. Toda la comida deliciosa fue hecha por Aneta del Bistro de Aneta. )

11/19/2023: Today began in the mid 50s and warmed into the low 80s. Mostly sunny.

11/20/2023: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into the low 80s. Mostly sunny.

11/21/2023: Today began in the low 60s and then warmed into the mid 80s. Mostly sunny.

11/22/2023: Today began in the 60s and warmed into the 70s before cooling back down into the 60s once more. Slight bit of rain before lunch. (Cool front).

11/23/2023: Today began in the high 40s and warmed into low 70s.

11/24/2023: Today began with a slight drizzle in the 50s. It warmed into the high 60s.

Final Note: A definite highlight of this week was the variety food that we explored. By way of culture, there was: Mexican (taco salad & beef-infused eggs), Japanese (sushi), American (coffee-encrusted & pan-seared beef), Middle-Eastern (sumac-seasoned lamb breast), Polish (Thanksgiving duck and accompanying fare), and Italian (homemade pizza).
