7/20/2025: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the 90s. Mostly sunny. Quite warm.

For lunch, I had a fried mixture of eggs, beef, and spicy peppers. It was accompanied by a green salad and a red apple. Para el almuerzo, comí una mezcla frita de huevos, carne de res y pimientos picantes. Esta estaba acompañada de una ensalada verde y una manzana roja. 
In the afternoon, I did a little work at the guesthouse. It was very hot, but the Diet Coke helped. En la tarde, trabajé un poquito en la casa de huéspedes. Hacía mucho calor pero la Coca Dieta ayudó con eso.

Dessert: a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and accompanied by a dollop of Greek yogurt. I turned off the lights because there was a pretty sunset outside. 7/21/2025: Today began in the high 70s and warmed into the 80s. Sunny early morning, but quite cloudy in the afternoon.

Later in the morning Mr. Lussier delivered a lot of cheese to the store, including three wheels. Más tarde en la mañana el Sr. Lussier entregó mucho queso a la tienda, incluidas tres ruedas.

After dinner, I went to the fields to check on a cow that was giving birth. I picked some grapes for my dessert. I discovered shortly afterward that the cow needed help. 7/22/2025: Today began in the mid 70s and warmed into the low 80s. It started raining at 6 AM with prevalent lightning. That lasted a few hours. By noon, we had received 6” of rain. It is now 1:53 PM, and it is still raining.

Later, the sun broke through the clouds. I found only one branch on the fence. We didn’t need to fix it because it wasn’t affecting the electric fence (and we didn’t want to damage the wet grass with the loader’s wheels). Más tarde sol salió de las nubes. 7/23/2025: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into high 80s. Partly cloudy morning followed by a very rainy afternoon (after 4 PM).

This morning cow number 738 gave birth to a pretty heifer calf. Esta mañana la vaca número 738 parió a una bonita ternerita. 
The cow with the curly horns is trying to learn to write. That’s why she has a stick on her horn. La vaca con los cuernos rizados está intentando de aprender a escribir. Por eso, tiene un palo en su cuerno. 
Before lunch, I went to the RHN Wagyu shop to check it out and visit Devyn. The shop is truly impressive. Antes de almorzar, fui a la tienda de RHN Wagyu para verla y visitar a Devyn. La tienda es realmente impresionante.

Además, había salsa barbacoa casera, requesón y un trozo de pan de masa madre.

7/26/2025: Today began in the low 70s and warmed into the high 90s. Mostly sunny. Very hot afternoon.
Lunch on July 26, 2025, consisted of a rich mixture of eggs, beef, sweet potato, and bacon. All of this was accompanied by a green salad drizzled with a tangy vinaigrette. El almuerzo del 26 de julio de 2025 consistía en una mezcla rica de huevos, carne de res, batata y tocino. Todo esto estaba acompañado de una ensalada verde rociada con una vinagreta picante. 
On the sunny and hot afternoon of July 26, 2025, the cows were resting under the oak trees. En la tarde soleada y calurosa del 26 de julio de 2025 las vacas descansaban bajo los robles.

Final Note: Between the weather extremes and malfunctioning technology, the environmental conditions this week were not ideal. Also, as I have no doubt already mentioned, there was much to do. Some days I was not done with my daily tasks until well after dinner. However, I am pleased to say that all of this “much” had a purpose and that I did a pretty good job at recalling that fact while also remembering that: everyone is doing the best they can, myself included. It may be for that reason that, in spite of the near-ridiculousness if not full-out ridiculousness of some of the situations, it was actually an enjoyable week.
Saying all this, I do look forward to the upcoming descanso with Padre, Madre, and C in Puerto Vallarta. I foresee much visiting, conversation, swimming, and some delicious Pepe’s Tacos.
That leading picture, set the scene for what was an interesting week, perhaps ridiculous is indeed a better description, so much happening…. It was a tremendous review and a provider of context … and yes Puerta Vallarta is just around the corner. Muchas gracias por compartir
