1/4/2026: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into the high 60s. Cloudy morning followed by partly cloudy afternoon.
Lunch on January 4, 2026, consisted of a fried mixture of beef, duck egg, and guajillo chili. This was all accompanied by a colorful salad drizzled with a spicy vinaigrette. El almuerzo del 4 de enero de 2026 consistía en una mezcla frita de carne de res, huevo de pato y chile guajillo. Todo esto estaba acompañado de una ensalada colorida rociada con una vinagreta picante.

To begin our lunch on January 5, 2026, we enjoyed a bowl of miso soup garnished with cheese bread, some beef, a hard-boiled duck egg, avocado, and red cabbage. Para comenzar el almuerzo del 5 de enero de 2026, disfrutamos de un tazón de sopa de miso adornado con pan de queso, un poco de res, un huevo de pato duro, aguacate y repollo rojo. 
The main course consisted of a platter of sushi. El plato principal consistía en una bandeja de sushi.

Lunch consisted of beef sausages accompanied by a salad topped with bacon and sardines. El almuerzo consistía en salchichas de res acompañadas de una ensalada cubierta con tocino y sardinas.

Final Note: It is 3:27 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and despite there being multiple calf IV’s in the morning as well as plenty of other activities, it has probably been the most tranquil day since Sunday last week. Now that I think of it, I believe I went somewhere every week day this past week, and of course Store-Saturday was Store-Saturday.
The week has been busy, productive, and as likely can be inferred by a number of the photos, quite good and fun. Now I’m about to head outdoors a little early to see if I can help with farm activities and get us on the roof for a little bit. I don’t know if it’ll happen today, but it’ll happen. Jacob-house roof will be in place quite soon.
