Week of February 2, 2025 – Births, bolts, an electrical outlet, leg of lamb, & honey.

(Above: A birth in the afternoon of 4/2/2025. The calf was coming backwards but we were able to help the cow in the field. Un nacimiento en la tarde del 4 de 2 de 2025. El ternero venía al revés pero pudimos ayudar a la vaca en el campo.)

Final note: Which party has it easier: the one giving birth or the one being birthed?

The face of the newborn: She looked a little bad but is better today.
La cara de la recién nacida: Ella se veía un poco mal pero hoy está mejor.

One little update on the calf above as of 2/9/2025: She is presently alive and doing well, having just recently begun to nurse its mother without human aid.

No doubt the farm offers challenging days, but none were as challenging as that calf’s birthday was for it, more tremendous food this week too
