2/19/2023: Today began in the high 40s and proceeded to warm into the high 70s. Mostly sunny.
Dawn of 2/19/2023. Lunch of 2/19/2023: Wagyner #730 taco salad. Toppings, aside from the beef, consisted of avocado, tomato, sour cream, and salsa. A dessert of cinnamon-sprinkled Granny Smith apple accompanied by leftover sour cream. Central beef pasture during the late afternoon. French Breakfast radishes harvested on the afternoon of 2/19/2023. Almost perfectly smooth and quite colorful. A dinner consisting of beef-imbued eggs (sautéed in the skillet) and a garden-fresh green salad which also contained all four of the previously shown radishes. A dessert consisting of a strawberry accompanied by a sliced & cinnamon-coated Granny Smith apple and some Greek yogurt.
2/20/2023: Today began in the low 50s and warmed into the high 70s. Foggy to start, sunny late-morning and afternoon.
Dawn of 2/20/2023. Midday in the central beef pasture. Lunch today was procured from Sushi Bistro of Ocala. The food was excellent as always, and I noticed on pickup that the restaurant had all tables filled. An picture-perfect loaf of sourdough given to us by my cousin Dana. The crust was crusty, the flavor was flavorful, and the texture… textureful? It was chewy and moist. Dinner occurred after a Spanish lesson with Isabela at Latinos y Más. Tonight’s repast consisted of 5 eggs, a small piece of the previously shown Dana-Sourdough, and a garden fresh salad. A Granny Smith apple, sliced and sprinkled with cinnamon.

2/21/2023: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into the low 80s. Mostly sunny.
Dawn of 2/21/2023. Asphalt miller on a trailer near the Dana/Gaur lot. This large machine is used to strip asphalt down to a specific (and even) level so that new asphalt may be laid down atop the substrate. This prevents roads from growing ever-taller. F2 Wagyu London broil salted in preparation of this evening’s reverse-sear. Lunch of 2/21/2023: Three small pieces of Dana-sourdough-toast topped with over easy eggs and accompanied by a garden-fresh salad. A dessert of Granny Smith apple, a walnut, and some Greek yogurt. Beef cows coming in for dinner on the evening of 2/21/2023. 5 French breakfast radishes harvested for the dinner salad of 2/21/2023. The first carrot (ever) harvested out of Jacobhouse garden. It bore a unique fleet-footed appearance, but that did not stop me from enjoying its crispy texture and sweet flavor. Dinner of 2/21/2023: A delicious dinner of F2 Wagyu London Broil, cucumber / cabbage / radish salad, and a little bit of sour cream and mustard for dunking. Merlot made for an excellent complement.

Morning of 2/22/2023 in the Central Beef Pasture. Lunch of 2/22/2023 was occurred at Lorito’s Italian Kitchen. Padre, Madre, and I all ate salads (Greek, Italian, and a combination of the two) along with some freshly-made cheese pizza. Following the salad, I enjoyed 3 slices of cheese pizza seasoned with plenty o’ red pepper and oregano. Late-day beef pasture inspection of 2/22/2023 (south-easternmost field, looking west). A Brahman Blue hybrid exhibiting her unique morphology. A mountain of vegetables harvested from the garden, including: lettuce, arugula, broccoli, kale, and radishes.

Dawn of 2/23/2023. Bovines gathering on the shavings mound for their midday meal. Lunch of 2/23/2023: A delicious fare of Wagyner Blue taco salad. This salad consisted of a bed of garden-fresh greens topped with Wagyner Blue beef, chopped tomato, avocado, salsa, and sour cream. Apple & cinnamon plate enjoyed with the little bit of sour cream remaining from the main course. Cows grazing in the central beef pasture, late day of 2/23/2023.

2/24/2023: Today began in the mid 60s and warmed into the high 80s. Partly Sunny.
Dawn of 2/24/2023 in the central beef pasture. Some form of burrow located in the brush-heap just west of the central hay barn. Lunch of 2/24/2023: Pan-seared cubed steak and tuna filets accompanied by a Padre-made & Madre-dressed salad. Healthy and delectable. South-easternmost pasture in the late afternoon of 2/24/2023. Late afternoon activity: Planting calabasa squash and jitomate seeds. Both packets were procured from Taxco last year, and I noted that the seeds therein were painted red (likely a form of insecticide). Dinner of 2/24/2023: Sourdough pan pizza topped with mozzarella, mushroom, and homemade tomato sauce. Accompanied by a cucumber, tomato, and olive salad. Delicious.

2/25/2023: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into the high 80s. Mostly sunny.
Dawn of 2/25/2023: A quiet morning in the Master Blend beef store. The recent warmth has prompted growth of all the herbs (thyme, rosemary, & lavender), and has spurred growth in the chiltepin plants as well. Lunch of 2/25/2023 was enjoyed at La Hacienda Colombiana #2. There, Padre and I enjoyed the pechuqueso (pounded & grilled chicken breast with melted cheese on top) and Madre enjoyed the Lomo de cerdo a la plancha (pounded & grilled pork loin). The pechuqueso was accompanied by a fresh salad (iceberg & tomato dressed in salt, oil, & vinegar) and some fried yucca sticks. Late-afternoon activity of 2/25/2023: Padre and I put up the new sail shade for the carport. Despite having reversed the tall and short post on one side, it seemed like the shade is quite flat (maybe even moreso than it originally was). Will it pool water? Two long, orange carrots and five squat, pink radishes harvested for the dinner salad.
