I got some beef fat from the freezer so I could make beef tallow. Conseguí grasa de res del congelador para poder elaborar sebo de res. 
Oops. The bag was wet from yesterday’s rain, so the salt fell out the bottom. Ups. La bolsa estaba mojada por la lluvia de ayer, por lo que la sal se cayó por el fondo.

This is a taco salad I made on the night of August 24, 2025. It consisted of spring mix and green cabbage topped with a fried mixture of beef and sweet potato. This morning I discovered the freezer truck wasn’t working. After checking it, I found this: the plug was burned out. Esta mañana descubrí que el camión congelador no estaba funcionando. Después de revisarlo, encontré esto: el enchufe estaba quemado.

I think I kneaded the dough too much last night… among other things. That’s why the dough was too soft. I decided to try making focaccia topped with fresh rosemary, lemon salt, and olive oil. Lunch consisted of beef sausages covered in spicy mustard. These were accompanied by a green salad topped with leftover coleslaw. After returning home and writing, I prepared a mixture of seasoned ground beef and sweet potato. It was sautéed and placed on top of a cabbage and spring mix salad. I was fond of the idea of staying home today instead of heading over to the Watros family fiesta. It was a busy morning full of talking to folks in the store (hours’ worth) and school (a seemingly endless chapter about business organization). I just wanted some quiet time and solitude. However, because I went, I got to hang out with enjoyable people and learn about their stories. I was able to rescue a frightened little fellow from a swimming pool. I rode one of the largest terrestrial machines I’d ever been in. I was able to eat some delicious home-grown & home-cooked food.
As most often seems the case when I head off on an adventure, I enjoyed it, and I’m glad I went. "
