4/4/2021: This day began in the low 50s and proceeded to warm to the high 70s. It was fairly sunny (and partly cloudy) throughout.
Dawn of April 4, 2021.
One of this morning’s projects was to fit the cow-wood boards to the front (or back) of Bovibench. As can be seen, this was accomplished.
An Aneta’s Easter Lunch. On this plate, from front-most and counter-clockwise, it was: pickled herring filets, roasted goose, cabbage salad, some form of pork-wrought meatloaf, and a fried kielbasa sausage drenched in Cossack mustard. All of it was fresh and incredibly tasty.
Today I measured, marked, cut, recut, and labeled all the pieces of cow-wood for the Bovibench’s siding.
I plan on joining the two large ‘seat sections’ via a piece of plywood on the underside. I should also note that this evening I ordered pneumatic ‘closers’ to ensure that the lid does not slam shut on unfortunate fingers.
Dusk of 4/4/2021.
A delectable dinner of beef sausage & egg omelette along with a salad comprised primarily of kale.
4/5/2021: This day began in the low 50s and proceeded to warm to the low 80s. Like yesterday, it was mostly sunny.
Dawn of 4/5/2021.
This is similar to the prior photograph except I focused the lens on the sun versus the landscape.
Morning activity: Aside from the usual tasks of writing and school, I straightened these cow-wood posts.
All woodcutting complete: If all goes well, I should not have to cut any more wood for the Bovibench. I should also note that today I decided to go with Padre’s idea of fastening the siding from within rather than from the outside (thus hiding the fasteners).
Dinner: An omelette comprised of sauteed kale, breakfast sausage, and mozzarella. It was all an excellent combination.
An 11 o’ clock companion… Somehow this caterpillar went unnoticed for over an hour after my re-entering Jacobhouse.
4/6/2021: Today began in the high 40s and proceeded to warm to the mid-80s. The sky remained almost entirely free of clouds.
Dawn of 4/6/2021.
A picture I sent to my uncle Wag, titled: “Selfie”. He seemed to appreciate it.
Lunch today: A remarkable repast procured from Sushi Bistro.
Mid-afternoon of 4/6/2021. Lack of rain has drastically increased dust production.
4/7/2021: This day began in the low 50s and proceeded to warm to the mid 80s. Clouds were far and few between.
Dawn of 4/7/2021.
Ritsabittle #16: A return to Salt Springs. The air was temperate and the sun was warm. Excellent swimming weather.
A glance down the Blue-Crab spring (closest to the bordering wall out of all the springs).
This is the ‘Well’ spring which resembles a water-expulsing hole that descends straight downward.
A glance above from about mid-way down the “Well” spring.

Lunch was consumed at Sabores Latinos. I started off with a salad dressed in sweet Mango & Pineapple vinaigrette, and proceeded to consume….
A bowl of “Sopa del Dia” (chicken & cilantro) accompanied by rice, fried plantains, and half a cheddar-cassava-cake.
On returning home, I prepared (cleaned & set up) and began to apply polyurethane to 23 pieces of cow-wood.
Dinner: A frittata containing sausage, summer squash, zucchini, onion, garlic, and topped with cheddar cheese curds. It was quite savory–welcome after an eventful day!
4/8/2021: This day began in the mid-50s and proceeded to warm to the mid-80s. Cloud cover was scarce at the beginning and prevalent at the end.
Dawn of 4/8/2021.
At about 9 AM, I partook of a mulberry breakfast. There were a ridiculous number, and almost all of them tasted sweet & sublime.
The first coat of Polyurethane was applied by 9:46 AM.
I included the hinges as well… though I may need to sand them a tad so they don’t look oily all the time.
Lunch today: A freshly baked potato stuffed with Master Blend Blue beef and served alongside plenty of hydroponic greens topped with olive oil.
The second coat of polyurethane was applied to most of the cow-wood (excluding the seat pieces because I ran out). This took place after I lightly sanded and wiped down every piece.
Dusk of 4/8/2021.
Before dinner, I took Blue on a walk. During this time, I allowed her to ‘weed-eat’ around my Uncle Wag’s doorstep.
Dinner: Homegrown (by other folks) porkchops accompanied by another plenitude of Eduardo’s hydroponic greenery.
4/9/2021: This day began in the mid 50s and proceeded to warm to the low 80s by late day. The morning was slightly hazy while midafternoon was a tad cloudy. I should note that this was the first time I was able to ride the Segway around for the morning ride-around in about a week due to previously malfunctioning technology. This is likely why I did not capture any images until mid-afternoon today.
Mid-afternoon of 4/9/2021.
Today’s Bovi-bench task consisted of sanding for 20 minutes. I was able to process all boards up to the 2×4 in the distance.

#3373 – A F1 Wagyu-Angus (Wangus).
Dinner tonight: A ‘white’ pizza consisting solely of mozzarella sitting atop a pan-pizza crust and sauce of butter, garlic, ricotta cheese, and fresh cracked black pepper.
4/10/2021: Today began quite sunny in the mid-60s and proceeded to warm to the high 80s by afternoon. In the late afternoon, clouds, wind, rain, and a cool-down of 20 degrees occurred.
Dawn of April 10, 2021.
The mid-afternoon cloud-front carrying heavy winds and admittedly frigid rain.
Today’s Bovibench task was to finish sanding the remainder of the boards in preparation for a third coat of polyurethane. If tomorrow is still rainy, I will likely apply the final coat on Monday.
Dinner: Angus beef short ribs braised for six hours and then accompanied by a salad of tender hydroponic greens.
Final Note: With all the progress made on Bovibench this week, I’m really looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I think the primary challenge is going to be figuring out how to attach the lid (and hinges) to the internal frame.
