(Above: A rigorous vaccination regimen consists of 5 shots and is helpful in preventing the need for future antibiotic treatments.)
Active Summary: This morning began with the daily regimen of calisthenics, writing, and a beef pasture check with Padre. I returned to Jacobhouse soon afterward where I continued writing for about an hour before determining it was time to take the next step forward on the seltzer project. For help with this, I contacted a Beverage Elements store associate who seemed markedly knowledgeable when it came to kegging and carbonation (both beer and seltzer water). With their aid, I purchased a seltzer tank, air/liquid hoses, fittings, gauges, a tap, and a bar spigot. I also acquired an inexpensive freezer thermostat from Amazon. To finish off the morning, I ventured to town with Madre where we replaced my empty Co2 tank with a full one* and procured a delicious lunch from Aneta’s Bistro.
(7:28 PM Update:) Afternoon activities began with answering two different Master Blend customers’ questions about our half-cow program, tending to a beef order, taking a brief rest, and then helping with a variety of cattle-related activities, including: feeding bovines, catching bovines to utilize as embryo recipients, catching / vaccinating calves, walking a calf with a couple bad eyes up to the chute for treatment, and performing a beef pasture check. It should also be noted that Padre and I filled 12 Moo-Magic bags for the compost stand this evening.
Final Note: After submitting this post, I intend to make a few small modifications to the Master Blend Beef Catalogue and then cook up a couple French omelets for dinner. With mine, I shall be eating some kale dipped in spicy mustard and some leftover cabbage salad from Aneta’s.
