Commentary: This was a rather lengthy day. About 80% of my waking hours were spent either in airports or in airplanes, and now, after a delicious first meal in Sicily, I am about ready to go sleep in a true bed for the first time in four nights. I will include pictures of our new Airbnb tomorrow.
On the way to the Marseille Airport.
This was the legroom I began with on my first flight.
Fortunately, a kindly attendant moved me and my brother to an exit room where we had much more room.
A picture of the large yet tidy airport in Rome.
A silhouette of my brother sitting in that airport.
Tight legroom on the flight from Rome to Catania, Italy.
This is the face of a fellow who has resided in Airports and Airplanes all day.
Waiting for baggage in Catania, Sicily.
The first food we ate in Sicily – battered and fried nuggets filled with mozzarella cheese and prosciutto.
A closer look.
A look inside.
First wine in Sicily. It was an excellent red with a strong albeit pleasant bite.
A pizza with plentiful roquette (arugula), prosciutto, Parmesan, baby tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and a truffle-cream sauce.
A piece of cheesecake – this one made of ricotta.
Final Note: Tomorrow I plan on resting, wandering about with my brother, and eating more delicious food.

Travel days, not often my favorite, but so often highly rewarding… your guys first Sicilian food and beverage looked terrific.
