(Above: Leftovers presented in what appears to be a gourmet fashion. Angus steak ‘tartare’, cold noodle soup, and slightly fermented garden salad. All this with a glass of Nero D’Avola. Quite delicious.)
Active Summary (7:17 PM): Today began with calisthenics, clothes washing/hanging, writing, and a beef pasture check. This was ensued by more writing, tending to a Master Blend customer, taking a lengthy Macroeconomics exam, and then by my harvesting kale for a lunch salad. A visit with Padre at the studio was followed by lunch.
After lunch, I put together a couple small lists of orders for cooking-related paraphernalia: coconut vinegar and aminos from an online store called Luckyvitamin.com AND two pots – a stockpot and a sauce pan – from webstaurantstore.com. I wrote for a time after this, and then ventured outside to help with cattle-related activities. These lattermost tasks included: helping feed the cows, catching bovines for vaccination, and checking calves for ailments.
I next spent about an hour in the Master Blend freezer room, accompanied by two sizeable spiders (one of which I revealed to Padre). During this time I finished organizing the freezers, took notes on the remaining inventory*, and input all the values into Excel. A beef pasture check with Padre came afterward, and now I’m back in Jacobhouse writing today’s entry, wondering what sort of pictures I’ll include today because there was not really any picture-worthy tasks accomplished**.
Final Note: Tomorrow, after performing the weekly Jacobhouse cleaning, I will likely hang the new Master Blend sign (s) at the end of the Driveway.
*Having pre-printed templates for taking inventory made the task much easier. This is something I shall do again next time.
** That is not to say I did not accomplish anything. I simply think that images of charts, tests, and Microsoft word documents are not the most intriguing picture-material.
