(Above: Lunch today consisted of a fresh salad, grilled chuck steak, and grill-roasted vegetables (tomato, corn, and onion). All of it was delicious.)
Active Summary: After waking this morning, I performed calisthenic exercises, wrote for a while, and then ventured outdoors for a beef pasture check with Padre. I next visited Madre for a brief time whereupon we decided that I would venture into town for a refrigerator on Friday. This was ensued by more writing time and then by my going to the Master Blend freezer room to prepare a few orders and tend to six different customers. Lunch occurred at noon and consisted of grilled chuck steak, tomatoes, onion, corn, and a delicious mustard-green salad.
(7:28 PM Update:) This afternoon began with my filling 15 Moo-Magic bags and tending to a couple beef-seeking customers. Afterward, I tended to inventory for a time, cleaned up/rested briefly within the cool dark bowels of Jacobhouse, and then returned outdoors where I helped with farm activities (feeding/catching bovines, fixing up IV bottles / IV’ing a calf, checking the pasture for ailing creatures, etc.), and tended to myriad customers (I think 10 total today*). I finished up the evening by going on a beef pasture ‘patrol’ with Padre and emailing / calling the various potential Master Blend clients that had contacted me throughout the day.
Final note: Now that it is 7:30 PM, I’m going to flip the ‘Open’ sign at the end of the driveway to ‘Closed’, pack up my laptop **, make something tasty for dinner, and then process picture / post this entry.
*Ten onsite clients. There were at least 10 more that contacted me on the phone today.
** I actually brought my laptop to the freezer room today so I could work on various creative activities while waiting for customers to arrive.
