Active Summary: After waking this morning, I performed the daily regimen of calisthenics, writing, and a beef Pasture check with Padre. This was ensued by a substantial amount more writing time and then by my venturing outdoors once more to help Padre and Wag locate the Wagyu calf I searched for yesterday (this time Padre found it in some weeds near the Holstein field). I next prepared some potatoes for baking and visited Padre in the studio for a brief while. Lunch followed.
(8:14 PM Update:) This afternoon began with a little bit of time at Jacobhouse where I wrote and read for about an hour. This was ensued by my venturing outdoors to begin helping with farm-related activities (catching / checking / tending to cattle) during which I also retrieved an online order for a Master Blend customer *. During the mid-afternoon break, I ziptied and transported 13 Moo-Magic bags down to the compost stand. This was followed by my return to Jacobhouse where I read for a while and made some pastry dough.
I next checked beefers with Padre and returned home where, via rolling pin, I flattened the pastry dough, layered it, and then filled it with rosemary, honey, and mozzarella cheese. The intent is to wrap the pastry in prosciutto as soon as it is out of the oven, and after that, I shall bring it over to the studio for dinner. I have a feeling it is going to be delicious.
Final Note: As a final note for today’s entry, here are a few pictures of this evening’s meal.
*She visited the freezer room, and on doing so, I showed her the resident Holstein calf which she thoroughly enjoyed. There may have been a squeal of delight.
