2/27/2019:
Building Summary: Today I went on a supply/research run into town with Madre. There, I acquired the Cortex fasteners I needed, and I was able to look through and find my kitchen’s future light fixture. (Also, I found some drawers that may fit into the closet-wall.)
Commentary: This morning was a supply run, so I did not get much time to actually work on Jacobhouse today. However, that does not mean there was a lack of progress. To the contrary, today I acquired fasteners that I will use to attach the mini-gutter, and with Madre’s help, I discovered the type of light I would use in my kitchen. I was originally going to use a circular, flush-mount, but it seemed a tad too small when I was looking at it.
Fortunately, Madre told me about the ‘long’ LED lights that were less than an aisle away (we were in Lowe’s at the time). Not only will the long LED light grant my kitchen much more lighting than a single-bulb flush mount, it will also not require replacement until after 50,000 hours of usage. That’s 5.7 years!
Final Note: Tomorrow, I reckon I will be putting up the ‘mini-gutter’ with the newly acquired Cortex screws. I will also continue measuring and start cutting the floor-boards for the closet and office area.
Bonus: Over the past few days, I (with Padre’s help) have attempted again and again to record my 1-minute Master Blend pitch for the FedEx Small Business Grant. We did get a few great takes along the way, but they were inevitably interrupted by ‘nature’ (the first by cow #313, the second by wind, and the third by Holstein mischief). Tonight we were finally able to get a near perfect shot.
