Fastened sub-frame below toilet and sink in container home bathroom.

Fastening the sub-frame.

1/23/19:

Building summary: Today I fastened the sub-toilet/vanity frame down to the bathroom base, and I also applied a few self-tapping screws to the boards that are beneath wall #3’s vertical 2x4s.

Commentary: I have two thoughts / highlights for today. The first occurred this morning when I was having difficulty fastening the subframe to the bathroom base due to the warp of the boards I was working with. For some reason, I was actually enjoying the challenge (and moreso, defeating the stubborn frame).  I realized a little while later that my enjoyment was at least partly caused by yesterday’s break from working on Jacobhouse. Perhaps supply runs have more than one use?

The second highlight occurred in the afternoon and was not strictly related to Jacobhouse. As a matter of fact, it is only related on account of the person the highlight ‘happened’ to. Me, Padre, and my uncle Wag were tending to cattle duties as per usual; in this case, we were tending to a specific cow. This cow, #306, did not wish to be tended to, and in her displeasure made it look as if she was going to charge me. I was in the corner of the pen at the time, and knowing that I should not remain there lest I be smashed, I threw my plastic rake at the frenzied bovine and scuttled atop the fence in less than three seconds. It was quick movement – good exercise to keep the body in condition for more construction upon Jacobhouse.

As to tomorrow’s activities, I believe I’ll be working on putting the sewer line in place and maybe even start gluing it together.
