Crafting a rolling pin, attempt #1.

5/15/2020

(Above: The de-barked ‘rough draft’ of a mulberry rolling pin. I accidentally cracked the pin when harvesting it from the tree, so I’m now gluing the split back together via wood glue and clamp.)

Active Summary: This morning began with calisthenic exercises, writing, and a beef pasture check with Padre. I next tied up the (floppy) tomato plants near Garden #1 with a 100′ length of damaged extension cord* and butcher’s twine. The next portion of morning was spent writing and participating in cooking/food preparation during which I produced a delicious sausage / bacon / vegetable fritatta and a big ole pot of cabbage salad. To conclude the early hours, I visited the studio for a little while before eating lunch with Padre and Madre.

(8:53 PM Update:) Afternoon activities began with my researching application-creation programs. There are many of them, but the most promising one – and the one with the most cringe-worthy name – ended up being Appy Pie**. A brief rest was ensued by a bit of farm work which included: feeding bovines, catching/treating calves, and checking the beef pasture for ailing bovines. Following all this, I tended to a couple Master Blend customers and worked on the rolling pin bound for Jacobhouse. The latter activity consisted of much wood-shaving with a small knife in an effort to achieve a smooth pin. I got it close to usable, but it is not quite there yet. To conclude the evening outdoor activities, I checked the beef pasture once more with Padre, worked on the rolling pin a tad more, and then ventured indoors.

Final Note: I have already eaten a delicious dinner of left-over salad, fritatta, and water melon. Now, I am concluding this entry before engaging in some leisure time.

** This may give me a way of recreating the Cattlelog Program that my brother built. The program itself reminds me of Wix Website Builder.
