Cowmooflage.

Active Summary: Today began with calisthenics, writing, and a Segway ride with Padre through the beef pasture. Afterward, on my way back to Jacobhouse I stopped by the freezer room to check on the freezers and the carbonation process, and I also inspected the tomato plants in both gardens to ensure there were no green gluttons. There was one horn-worm, and I commenced to dispose of it in the usual method… but somehow it landed under Padre’s boot first.

I next prepared an apple galette using the remaining pastry dough from two days ago, and I wrote for about 1.5 hours before venturing back outdoors to tend to a family who desired some delicious beef. After completing their order, I visited Padre at the Studio, and then we had a delicious lunch of leftover round-steak, Aneta’s cabbage salad, baked potatoes, and watermelon. There was also a dessert (shown in the images below).

(8:00 PM Update:) This afternoon consisted of more writing, some computer-related chores*, confirming the reservation on our first out-to-eating in over 2 months**, and tending to a number of bovine-related shenanigans. The lattermost activities included: feeding/catching cows, checking/treating calves, finding/treating a cow possibly affected by ketosis, and performing the nightly beef-pasture check with Padre. To conclude afternoon activities, I made a vegetarian soup from tomatoes, onions, kale, garlic, and Italian spices.

Final Note: The tomato/vegetable stew smells delicious, and I am presently about to go add some mozzarella to the top. It shall make for excellent dunking where yesterday’s left-over barley bread is concerned.

*I found a new task list program that does not bog down my computer. It is called Todoist, and it is perhaps the most simple yet effective To-do program that I’ve come across thus far.

**It is to be Mesa de Notte; they seemed quite happy to make a reservation for us.
