Colorado, Day 7 (WIP)

(Above: The rock I sat on for a good hour, just watching.)

Preface: Today was a very long and very unconventional day – just as a proper vacation day should be. However, it has brought up a quandary. I’m supposed to do 45 minutes more creative writing time today (yes, I still do an hour or more each day, even on vacation), and yet, I have not put any work into the Jacobhouse Blog yet, either. Clearly, the only option here is to combine the two together in some manner.

The time is 10:26 PM.

Commentary: The time is now 11:22 PM. There was progress, but I’m afraid it is not of caliber for submission. Therefore, I’m afraid I will not have much to add to the Jacobhouse Blog today. I will, however, include a teaser picture of the delectable dinner I had with my brother this evening (compliments of Padre!). There will be more pictures soon, but this one turned out especially well.

Jamon-wrapped dates.
Prosciutto-Wrapped Stuffed Dates. (Stuffed with some form of savory nut… perhaps walnut.)

Final Note: Heading back home tomorrow. It will be good to get back into some form of routine again, but I will miss these days of ‘nothing’ that I’ve experienced over the past week. Many new opportunities open up when time is not constrained.
