Padre holds up a cardboard cupboard on the kitchen wall of Jacob's container home.

Cardboard Kitchen.

3/8/19:

Building Summary: Today I looked online for kitchen cabinets to go into Jacobhouse’s kitchen, and after finding a 30-inch-tall variety, I went to the worksite to see if they would fit. To do this, Padre and I cut the oven-hood box down to size, and held it up to the kitchen wall above an equally makeshift counter. It wasn’t fancy, but we did find that the larger cupboards would indeed work.

Commentary: I had a short morning at Jacobhouse today, but it was still productive. As stated above, we found that I will be able to use tall (30″) cabinets in the kitchen which will provide me with much more storage space than the 15″ ones we were testing yesterday. To add to this, I found a color similar to the one Padre found, except it’s a shade darker. This will go quite well with the black-colored appliances in Jacobhouse’s kitchen.

Final Note: Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I won’t be working much on Jacobhouse over the coming weekend, because I’m taking a mini-vacation*. I do, however, still plan on getting the Zoro order and the Home Depot cabinet order completed quite soon, so when I get back to work, I can really get to it.

*Starting within half an hour of my writing this post!

Additional Note: Remember to vote for Master Blend over the following weekend at the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest. I really appreciate your support. Thanks!
