12/2/19
(Above: Little did I know that creating a generator would be so easy. By plugging the cord into the lower outlet, it feeds power to the upper outlet in an unending torrent of energy… Right?)
Active Summary: Today began with a customary beef pasture check and was ensued by freezer-room work. The latter included: manufacturing/mounting a plug-in outlet*, removing a few more supplies (one of which was a large pane of glass), venturing to Sparr to procure some paint rollers and a electrical box-cover, and procuring pieces of plastic to utilize as drop-clothes while painting. To finish off the morning, I donned a dust mask and set about wire-brushing the entrance doors to the freezer room, so as to prepare them for primer.
(6:28 PM Update:) This afternoon I helped with a number of cow-related activities, checked the beef herd with Padre, and returned to the freezer room where I wiped the double-doors down with vinegar and then rinsed out the cobweb-infested mop.
TIL: Over the past couple days, I’ve learned a new and improved way to cook, serve, and eat a sweet potato. First, poke the thoroughly-washed root multiple times with a fork before inserting it** into a 425 F oven for 1 hour (1.5 hours if it is enormous). Next, take it out and open it like a typical baked potato. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil and a sprinkling of salt into the steamy sweet-potato and watch as it all melts. Feast upon the delicious tuber, adding more salt and coconut oil as desired.
Commentary: The weather has cooled off considerably over the past twenty-four hours, dropping from the mid-80s to the mid-50s. Despite the resultant coolness, though, it has been quite comfortable. This is primarily due to the lack of grey skies and the consequent brilliance of today’s sunshine.
Final Note: Tomorrow, I will begin painting / priming the ceiling and the entry doors belonging to the Master Blend freezer room.
*To cover up the hole left behind by the fan I removed while still making use of the electrical outlet/switch that was previously utilized to control/power the departed appliance.
**The sweet potato, not the fork.
