(Above: Mulberries for breakfast – just like they were one year, one month, and seventeen days ago.)
Active Summary: This morning began with calisthenics, writing, and a beef pasture check with Padre. On my way back to Jacobhouse, I checked both gardens for uninvited guests. I found hornworms in both places – only three, with one especially large specimen on a garden #1 tomato plant – but other than that, the plants all appeared to be growing quite healthily and happily. I returned indoors, wrote for about thirty minutes more, and then made my way to the Master Blend freezer room where I helped unload a new beef inventory.
Following the stowing and ogling* of the newly arrived beef, I returned to Jacobhouse where I wrote 30 minutes more before heading out to bring Robert of Aneta’s Bistro his beef order and to acquire sushi for lunch. The ensuing trip took a little bit of time, and both Madre and I were roasted in the no-air-condition van, but we did all that was needed and were soon on our way back home. Upon our arrival, I tended to three Master Blend customers, worked on a price chart, and cleaned up the freezer room a tad before heading to the Studio for a 1:30 PM lunch comprised of delicious sushi, onion soup, cucumber salad, and watermelon.
6:50 PM Update: Afternoon activities began with Master Blend correspondence / price-chart creation, a brief rest, and then by my helping with a number of bovine-related tasks: feeding, catching / treating a couple calves for pinkeye, and checking the beef pasture (twice) for ailing animals. Now I am in the freezer room. I have only just finished printing the new price charts and organizing the new inventory in our freezers.
Final Note: After completing this entry, I intend to return to Jacobhouse where I will likely make myself an omelet or burger-steak for dinner (pictures will be posted tomorrow). And in regard to tomorrow’s activities, I will be working on inventory and putting a few orders together in addition to my typical daily tasks.
*Nettles did an exceptional job this time around, with almost all cuts I asked for included and all of it packaged to order.
