(Above: The rolling pin I fashioned today came from a dead and subsequently pre-dried piece of paper mulberry. It is quite straight and will work well for the making of pastries.)
Actives Summary: After waking this morning, I wrote for a while, rode through the beef pasture with Padre, helped IV an ailing calf that we found, and then returned home where I performed the daily calisthenics and another hour’s worth of writing. This was followed by neatening up Jacobhouse and then by venturing outdoors to procure some seltzer water.
On my way into the freezer room I heard the air-conditioner making a racket (and it was spraying water all over the place), so I decided it was time to remove the appliance and clean it out in an effort to unclog the drain. It was a slightly difficult removal process, and I got more than a bit moist whilst doing so (poured debris-filled condensation all over myself). That was the most peeving portion of the process. The next bit consisted of removing a few screws, and blasting out years worth of spiders, spider feces, and algae out of the drain pan via garden hose. Padre helped me replace the air-conditioner back in its orifice, and now it is presently cooling down the office while emanating nothing more than a muted a hum. Thus far, it has not leaked inside of the office.
To conclude the morning, I removed the bones from / baked some white fish*, and I prepared / grilled four baking potatoes.
(8:04 PM Update:) The afternoon began with a brief rest and then by my tending to a couple Master Blend customers. I followed this up with a bit of research into Appy-Pie**, the codeless app-maker system. After that, I ventured back outdoors to help with a number of cattle-related activities including: catching / treating bovines, helping milk a tiny-teat Holstein, checking the pastures for ailing bovines, performing the nightly pasture check with Padre, and helping IV a dehydrated calf. During an hour’s break amidst all those shenanigans, I worked on a new rolling pin using a straight tree that Padre found***, and I tended to another Master Blend customer.
Final Note: In a few minutes, I’ll be eating a delectable dinner at Padre’s studio. Tonight its going to be left over frittata and kale salad again, but I’ll also be bringing some day-old cabbage salad. From the smell of it, it has another day before becoming prime slaw, but the improvement since yesterday is quite noticeable.
*I utilized a ‘dressing’ of butter, sour cream, and onion powder. The sour cream was previously frozen, so it was a tad chunky. It still tasted delicious and was reminiscent of a yogurt-marinated piece of fish.
** From the looks of it, Appy-Pie will work, but I’m going to cancel my subscription of it very soon. I need to build a solid Google-Sheets Database first, and that’s going to require learning new formulas.
