9/29/2021: This day began in the high 60s and proceeded to warm into the mid-80s. Lack of humidity kept the climate comfortable (sunny throughout).
Dawn of 9/29/2021.
The cypress vines east of Jacobhouse have only grown more rampant during the past week despite a lack of rain.
A repast procured from Sushi Bistro on our first day back home – partly out of the day’s sheer busyness, partly out of the necessity to visit the grocery store on the way back home, and partly because it is delicious. The rice has returned to a less hard and more sticky consistency. Excellent!

Dinner: A Master Blend Belgian Blue cubed round steak grilled alongside an onion cross-section and a freshly harvested cachucha pepper. All of it was tremendous, and the pepper was reminiscent of a habanero in flavor but without an inkling of spiciness.
9/30/2021: Today began in the high 60s and proceeded to warm into the low 90s – a variation of temperature likely caused by a shift of seasons and a distinct lack of humidity.
Dawn of 9/30/2021. A cool morning bearing a palette unique to autumn.
Lunch today: A couple baked potatoes, a slice o’ lean steak, and hefty bit of salad.
Dinner: A delightful repast of a mushroom & onion egg scramble accompanied by a Padre-made and Jacob-dressed salad.
10/1/2021: Morning temperatures in the high 60s were ensued by mid-afternoon temperatures in the low 90s. Again, the prevalence of sunlight and the aridity of the air has caused this variance.

Another picture of a beautiful and slightly misty morning.
Mid-afternoon in the central portion of the Lagoon-lot pasture. The land is still scarred here from many years of Holstein traffic.
Dinner: A particularly delicious combination of seared Belgian Blue chuck steak (seasoned with sage, red wine vinegar, and salt), a baked potato, and a delectable Padre-made & Jacob dressed salad.

Late day in the south-east beef pasture (looking west).
An interesting concept that turned out quite well: gnocchi-crust pizza (potato & flour base) topped with mozzarella, potato skins, and a light dressing of olive oil, garlic, and rosemary.
Final Note: From what I can tell, one facet of finding Walden is to take at least one moment of every day to appreciate the existence of life (instrument), self (musician), and the interconnection between the two (music). Even if difficulty is experienced – e.g. If I’m have some trouble with tempo – it always helps to remember that without a musician to play it, a piano would be nothing but a box of wood, a bundle of sticks, a few springs, and taut strings.
It is through us musicians that life may sing.
