10/17/2020 – Food for the radishes.

10/17/2020

(Above: At about 30-40 lbs per bag, I collected 300-400 lbs of compost for this seasons’ radishes.)

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, piano practice, and a little bit of writing. This was ensued by a beef pasture inspection with Padre and then by some extra outdoor activities, including the filling of 10 compost bags for lining the east edge of the garden* and readjusting the Master Blend freezer room’s cell booster with Padre’s and Wag’s aid. I next returned to Jacobhouse where I fed Doug and participated in about 1.5 hours of writing. Lunch occurred at 12:05 PM and consisted of venturing to Aneta’s to partake of their tremendous Polish Culinary Festival.

(6:33 PM Update:) Afternoon activities were initiated with writing, rest, and a few minutes of computer-related leisure. This was followed by outdoor tasks, including: tending to a couple Master Blend customers, moving buckets (empty and filled with fodder), catching bovines for embryo transfer, pitch-forking feed, checking bovines in the barn for ailments, and performing the day’s final beef pasture inspection with Padre. On returning to Jacobhouse, I worked on the majority of this entry and sliced the fifth and final Nickles’ watermelon for dinner.

A close-up of some Jewels of Opar flowers. They are about a third of the size of my smallest finger’s nail.

Final Note: Due to the delicious and plenteous repast at Aneta’s earlier, I am not experiencing any hunger at this time. Dinner shall likely consist of the aforementioned melon along with some spring-mix and arugula. Also, I don’t think this is how cows usually drink water (video taken during today’s final beef pasture inspection):

*I intend to plant 5-8 Misato Rose Radishes in each bag.
