Summary: Today began with calisthenics, piano practice, and writing. This was ensued by a beef pasture inspection and then a return to Jacobhouse. On the way back to my abode, I stopped at the garden and neatened it further for about 15 minutes. I next stepped indoors and there wrote for an hour before deciding it was time to order some seeds for planting. This year’s selection will be: Arugula, Dinosaur Kale (kale cultivated since the 1700’s), salad burnet (described as “mildly cucumber, a bit tart, a little hot”), and some Misato Rose radishes that I acquired last year. The remainder of the morning was quite leisurely, and at noon, I produced some delicious Master Blend burger-steaks for lunch.

(5:01 PM Update:) Afternoon activities were initiated with leisure after which came farm-related tasks, including: the attempted unplugging of a bovine sewage pipe, moving feed buckets, pitch-forking feed, and checking calves out in the field. A 1.5 hour break at Jacobhouse occurred afterward where I wrote the majority of this entry and prepared pizza ingredients for tonight’s dinner. Next, at 6 PM, I returned outdoors where I helped Padre with a few final farm tasks including the feeding of a calf and performing the day’s final beef pasture inspection.

Final Note: On concluding this entry, I intend to put together a pizza. It shall consist of sourdough crust, a sauce of garlic & bacon drippings, and a few unique toppings[(bacon / diced onion (carmellized) / baked potato (sliced thin)].
