9/23/2020 – Gluing the sewer line (Part 1).

Last night’s dinner at Ipanema was spectacular. On account of the dim lighting (and my being involved in the consumption of many meats), this is the only picture I obtained.

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, piano practice, and a beef pasture inspection with Padre. I next returned to Jacobhouse where I completed a few house-neatening tasks before engaging in writing from 9 AM to 11:10 AM. At that point, I began working on school (read a lot of textbook, took a quiz, and wrote a discussion reply). At 12 PM, I grilled a couple sirloin tip steaks and eight tortillas* for lunch. The midday meal occurred at 12:20 PM and consisted of sirloin-tip tacos and cucumber salad – a delicious repast.

(6:49 PM Update:) This afternoon was initiated with more school activities (correspondence and reading) and followed by some work on Madre’s container office project. At 3:30 PM, I gave a tour of Jacobhouse to a couple friends of the family, but I was back to work at about 4:15 PM. This day’s primary construction task consisted of gluing together a large portion of the sewer line: the sink drain pipe and the toilet’s sanitary T. After receiving aid from Madre and Padre for the latter bit, I performed the day’s final beef pasture inspection with Padre. It was a productive ride, as we finally got to treat a calf that had been evading us. Now I am back at Jacobhouse writing this entry while waiting for pizza dough to rise.

Final Note: My brain has been quite busy today, and I look forward to leisure’s reprieve. The only tasks remaining to this evening are submitting this entry and producing a delicious pizza.

*Today was the first time I had ever toasted tortillas on the grill. I lightly coated them with olive oil and salt, and after about 1.5 minutes on the grate, they were done. It was a surprisingly swift process.
