(Above: There seemed to be an inordinate amount of light as I stepped outdoors this morning, and on peering westward I found this enormous cloud glowing with the ‘unborn’ sun’s illumination. Due to its towering figure, the cumulonimbus was brighter than the east horizon for a brief time.)
Summary: Today began with calisthenics, a few housekeeping tasks, and a beef pasture inspection with Padre. This was ensued by my filling 8 Moo-Magic bags, tending to a Master Blend customer, preparing a couple thick beef shanks for lunch, and starting those shanks at 300 degrees F along with some onions and potatoes. Writing came afterward. It was a productive span of about 2.5 hours and ended at 11:55 PM with my deciding it was time for a break and to cut up watermelon. The melon was cut and the beef-dish was complete at 12:30 PM whereupon both were brought over to the Studio for a delicious midday meal.
(5:24 PM Update:) This afternoon was initiated with leisure and Master Blend bookkeeping & correspondence. I next aided in farm-related tasks, including: checking the beef pasture for ailing & active (in-heat) animals, breaking up fodder via pitchfork, moving feed buckets, and inspecting animals in the barn for ailments. Before making my way back to Jacobhouse, I took a brief seltzer-break with Padre, and on returning, I tended to a package that arrived in the mail whose nature will likely be revealed in tomorrow’s entry.
For now, here’s a picture of my post farm-time snack:
Final Note: After concluding today’s post, I intend to enjoy some leisure time, check the beef pasture with Padre, and eat a dinner of baked potato, leftover salad, and watermelon.
