8/13/2020 – A very soft doughnut

(Above: A red-currant jelly-filled doughnut from Aneta’s Bistro. The texture was sublime.)

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, writing, and a beef pasture check with Padre. On returning to Jacobhouse, I tended to a few housekeeping tasks and then ventured back outdoors to help Wag chase an escaped steer into the correct lot*. I resumed normal activities after the bovine’s shenaniganry, writing for about 2.5 hours before taking a quick ride in to Aneta’s Bistro with Padre and Madre. There, I consumed a delicious meal of veal & barley soup, cabbage salad, and a fresh Aneta’s red currant doughnut. It should also be noted that we stopped by Steve’s produce stand on our way home and acquired three promising melons along with a bag of lychees (a picture of which I intend to include tomorrow).

(6:39 PM Update:) Afternoon activities began with my writing a portion of this entry, checking/tending various Master Blend and UF correspondence, and engaging in a bit of repose. Outdoor activities ensued and included: helping feed / catch / breed full grown bovines, checking the pastures for ailing creatures, aiding in the feeding / treatment of young bovines, helping Madre work on her container office**, and performing the day’s final beef pasture inspection with Padre.

Final Note: Now that I have returned indoors, I’m going to complete today’s entry before engaging in leisure and cooking. The latter will consist of searing and roasting a Master Blend Wangus picanha for dinner.

*I observed the first unsuccessful attempt from the porch as I hung up clothing to dry.

**Padre and I helped bring 2″ pvc conduit into the dwelling along with the heavy-gauge wires that the piping protects.
