Active Summary: Today, after waking, I performed the morningly regimen of calisthenics, writing, and a beef herd inspection with Padre. This was ensued by a return to Jacobhouse where I wrote for over an hour before tending to a small number of chores and creating a couple Master Blend beef inventory charts in preparation of new stock which shall be arriving in a mite less than two weeks. I next ventured outdoors where I tended to both gardens and checked on the freezers / laptop in the freezer room. To conclude the morning activities, I returned to Jacobhouse, pre-ordered a meal from Aneta’s Bistro, and then made the quick journey to that pleasantly cool restaurant* with Madre and Padre for a delicious lunch.
(6:16 PM Update:) This afternoon began with my searching for / ordering a laptop** for the Master Blend freezer room and a brief rest at Jacobhouse. Afterward, I made my way outdoors to help with varying farm-related tasks. These included: washing the feed barn’s slab with a large hose, catching eleven calves for vaccination & genetic testing, and checking the beef pasture twice for bovine-related shenanigans. The first half of the afternoon was a simultaneously sultry and fetid air-bath while the second half was refreshed by a breeze and slight drizzle from a nearby thunderstorm.
Final Note: Due to a rather large dinner at Aneta’s Bistro, I am not hungry in the slightest at this time. I may simply have a few grapes for dinner along with a thin slice of leftover strawberry-swirl bread. And as per yesterday’s entry, here are some pictures of last night’s meal:
* Especially true after riding in a vehicle without air-conditioning.
** Little progress was made in my attempting to make that old laptop function. On checking with my brother to see if there was anything I could do to log in to the PC and make it better, he said that it was ‘junk’ and that I probably should avoid spending much time on. So, I instead ordered a decent refurbished laptop from Newegg for less than $200.00.
