(Above: Aneta’s Blood Sausage Sandwich. I already thought it was excellent as a takeout meal, but today I ate in-restaurant. It was even better! A crusty loaf encompassing a mass of blood-sausage & barley, pickles, and green-leaf lettuce. Tremendous.)
Active Summary: Today began with calisthenic exercises, writing, and a beef pasture check with Padre. During our ride we found an calf experiencing a chemical imbalance, so we commenced to give it an IV. After this, I ventured to the freezer room where I finished up the morning’s writing and began tending to a lengthy list of Master Blend shenanigans, including: updating store-hours to reflect a temporary closing, changing the price sheet to show more accurate hours, putting together a hefty beef order, and collecting inventory. To conclude the morning, I tended to a customer before venturing in to Aneta’s Bistro with Padre and Madre for a delicious meal of: mushroom / barley soup, cabbage salad, a large and incredible-tasting blood sausage sandwich, and an Aneta’s rose-butter doughnut*.
(8:06 PM Update:) On returning home, I took a shower and brief rest at Jacobhouse before returning to the freezer room and working on a tad more inventory. This was ensued by farm activities, including: feeding bovines, catching cows for breeding / embryo transfer, moving cows & calves around to the appropriate pens, and checking the fields for ailing creatures. Amidst all this, Padre and I filled 15 Moo Magic compost bags for the manure stand by the road, and I took a couple calls from people who somehow already know our new inventory is in despite my hardly telling anyone**. Either way, after farming, I returned to the freezer room where I have just now finished 2.5 hours of inventory-taking, billing, inventory-input, and Master Blend correspondence.
Final Note: In addition to typical daily activities, tomorrow will likely be filled by more inventory-input, phone calls, and subscriber-email preparation.
*I typically do not enjoy flower-flavored items, but Aneta actually made it work. I would name it my second favorite doughnut after the red currant filled doughnut.
** The goal is to keep this fact fairly quiet until I have all the inventory in the online catalogue where I can easily manage sales.
