(Above: Two cucumbers growing with startling rapidity. The speed at which they are growing actually reminded me of the growth rate of zucchini and summer squash. Thus, as an additional activity today, I purchased seeds for both of those types of plants.)
Active Summary: After waking this morning, I performed calisthenics, writing, a beef pasture check, and I helped with a little bit of Master Blend-and-Farm shenanigans*. This was ensued by some plant tending – checking for hornworms and moving a few buckets of Jewels of Opar from Garden #2 to Garden #1 – more writing, tending to a few Master Blend customers, and filling up 12 bags of Moo-Magic. To conclude the morning, I visited Padre in the Studio for a little while and cooked up some delicious lunch.
(8:52 PM Update:) This afternoon consisted of cattle-related tasks (feeding bovines, checking calves for ailments, & spraying weanlings with fly spray to keep off the biting insects), putting up a Master Blend sign just outside of the freezer room with Padre’s aid (used concrete screw-anchors for the first time), tending to a beef customer, and working on garden #1 for a brief time. For dinner, I made quick-bread, picked some fresh kale to eat with spicy mustard, and cooked some cloud eggs. It was all delicious.
Final Update: After finishing this day’s entry, I intend to take about 1.5 hours of free computer time before heading off to sleep.
