The new window for the Master Blend freezer room.

A new window for the freezer room.

Active Summary: Today began with calisthenics, writing, and then by my venturing outside to help Padre IV a calf for its second time. A ride around the beef pasture ensued and was followed by my working on the Master Blend freezer room’s north window frame. After putting the frame together / adjusting its size* / adjusting the size of the acrylic pane, I was able to install the window with ease. I returned to Jacobhouse after that and proceeded to finish the remainder of my morning regimen which entailed washing clothes and writing for another hour.

(5:37 PM Update:) Afternoon activities thus far have included tending to a somewhat trialsome Master Blend beef customer and participating in a few cattle-related activities (finding an elusive calf, helping catch a few cows, giving a calf fluid under the skin, and shoveling some feed). Now I’m back in Jacobhouse cooling off and about to take the rest of the day off. Dinner tonight will consist of La Cuisine Duroc pork, frog legs, and a sampling of the sides shown in yesterday’s post. It is something to look forward to.

(7:56 PM) The evening in-to-eating is drawing near. I will include pictures of the repast after I return:

Final Note: Tomorrow is Farm Market morning. If I have time, I also plan on cleaning / caulking around the window frame(s) I installed today.

*The sides for the frame were a tad too long so I had to reduce their length by ½”. Even then it was a snug fit.
