Commentary: The morning hours were spent in a relaxing fashion today. I started with a little over an hour’s worth of creative writing and then ventured out to the beef pasture with Padre where we found that most of the bovines appeared quite healthy. This was followed by a brief visit to the garden, a little bit more writing (revision, this time) and then by my playing some Path of Exile. It is especially satisfying to glance out at the garden – appearing particularly green and lush on this grey, partly cloudy day – amidst my leisure time.
(4:26 PM Update:) After making some delicious homemade noodles for lunch with the noodlemaker that my brother gave me, I returned to Jacobhouse for a little more leisure time and then ventured outside to help with farm activities. These latter tasks included: feeding bovines, working some cows through the chute, checking calves in the barn, and stirring up feed with a pitchfork. Now, before I go for the evening Segway ride around the beef pasture, I’m looking up some Airbnbs in Catania, Sicily (where my brother and I will be flying in). (5:34 PM Update:) Just returned from beef pasture check. I took measurements for the North window in the freezer room while I was out. It ended up being 26″ wide by 18″ tall.
Final Note: Tomorrow morning, I plan on venturing to the Farm Market. As far as Freezer Room activities go, I will be ordering a couple windows – one for the north and one for the south side – and I shall be preparing to add another coat of primer to the doors / door frames on the chamber’s northwest side. I may also do the same for the southeastern door.
