11/09/2025: Today began in the low 60s and warmed into the low 80s. Mostly cloudy morning ensued by a mostly sunny afternoon.
The quiet morning of November 9, 2025: I wrote while my dad and Victor fed the cows. La tranquila mañana del 9 de noviembre de 2025: Escribí mientras mi papá y Víctor alimentaron a las vacas. 
This morning Victor planted the new laurel (bay) tree (which my mom bought us) in front of the Master Blend store. Esta mañana Víctor plantó el nuevo laurel (que nos compró mi mamá) frente a la tienda de Master Blend. 
Lunch consisted of leftover barbecue-style stew on a bed of lettuce, spinach, and red cabbage. El almuerzo consistía en sobras de guiso estilo barbacoa sobre una cama de lechuga, espinaca y repollo morado. 
This afternoon Padre measured the spaces between the supports of the new roof of my little house. Then, Victor used those measurements to cut and install boards in those spaces. Esta tarde mi padre midió los espacios entre los soportes del techo nuevo de mi casita. Luego, Víctor utilizó esas medidas para cortar e instalar tablas en esos espacios.

This afternoon I dug a hole for the first post belonging to Jacobhouse’s new roof. Esta tarde cavé un hoyo para el primer poste del nuevo techo de mi casita. 
Dinner consisted of a reverse-seared Indian Bison round roast , accompanied by a green salad, a piece of sourdough bread, a horn of red wine, and a bowl of sour cream. La cena consistía en un asado de ronda de bisonte indio dorado al revés, acompañado de una ensalada verde, un trozo de pan de masa madre, un cuerno de vino tinto y un tazón de crema ácida.
11/10/2025: Today began in the low 50s and warmed into the low 60s.
Lunch on November 10, 2025 began with an appetizer of miso soup garnished with green cabbage, avocado, spinach, and thinly sliced beef. El almuerzo del 10 de noviembre de 2025 comenzó con una entrada de sopa de miso adornada con repollo verde, aguacate, espinaca y carne de res en rodajas finas. 
The main course was a tray of sushi. El plato principal fue una bandeja de sushi. 
On the afternoon of November 10, 2025, I attended Agricultural Policy class. En la tarde del 10 de noviembre de 2025, asistí a la clase de Derecho Argrario. 
Dinner consisted of a taco salad. This time I used the seasoning prepared by the spice shop, Claremont Spice Company (according to my recipe). We really liked the seasoning. La cena consistía en una ensalada de taco. Esta vez utilicé el condimento preparado por la tienda de especias, Claremont Spice Company (según mi receta). Nos gustó mucho el condimento. 
The dessert: a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and accompanied by a spoonful of Greek yogurt. El postre: una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego.
11/11/2025: Today began in the low 30s and warmed into the low 60s. Mostly sunny.
This morning, November 11, 2025, I prepared a cheese display at the Master Blend store. Esta mañana del 11 de 11 de 2025, preparé una exhibición de quesos en la tienda de Master Blend. 
Lunch consisted of a fried mixture of eggs and pork. This was accompanied by a colorful salad made by my father. El almuerzo consistía en una mezcla frita de huevos y cerdo. Esta estaba acompañada de una ensalada colorida hecha por mi padre. 
The dessert: a sliced red apple sprinkled with cinnamon and accompanied by a spoonful of Greek yogurt. El postre: una manzana roja en rodajas espolvoreada con canela y acompañada de una cucharada de yogur griego. 
After lunch, I prepared the Mississippi-style stew for dinner. The roast was from cow #575. Después del almuerzo, preparé el guiso al estilo Mississippi para la cena. El asado era de la vaca número 575.

Before returning indoors, I worked on the post hole for the northeasternmost post belonging to Jacobhouse’s new porch roof. Antes de regresar a casa, trabajé en el agujero para el poste más al noreste del nuevo techo de la terraza mi casita. 
Dinner consisted of Mississippi-style roast beef with a green salad and a slice of cheese bread. It was all accompanied by a bowl of homemade barbecue sauce for dipping. La cena consistía en un asado al estilo Mississippi acompañado de una ensalada verde y un trozo de pan de queso. Todo esto estaba acompañado de un tazón de salsa barbacoa casera para mojar.
11/12/2025: Today began in the high 20s and warmed into the high 60s. Sunny.
A morning activity on November 12, 2025: my father, my uncle, and I administered intravenous fluids to a young steer. Una actividad matutina del 12 de noviembre de 2025: mi padre, mi tío y yo administramos fluidos intravenosos a un novillito. 
Lunch on November 12, 2025 consisted of beef sausages, bacon, sardines, pickled cucumbers, and a green salad. Almuerzo del 12 de noviembre de 2025 consistía en salchichas de res, tocino sardinas, pepinos encurtidos y una ensalada verde.

On the morning of November 13, 2025, I helped Padre and Wag give a calf hydrating fluids. Unfortunately, it died while we were treating it. En la mañana de 13 de noviembre de 2025, ayudé a mi papá y a mi tío darle a fluidos de hidratación a un ternerito. Desafortunadamente, murió mientras estábamos tratandolo. 
I found these flowers in the old swimming pool west of Grandma Cook’s house. Encontré estas flores en la antigua piscina al oeste de la casa de mi Abuela Cook. 
For lunch, we had fried duck eggs with a green salad made by Padre. The eggs tasted great and had an excellent texture. Para el almuerzo, comimos huevos de pato fritos acompañados de una ensalada verde hecha por mi padre. Los huevos tenían un buen sabor y una textura excelente.

On the morning of November 14, 2025, I arranged the ingredients inside the fridge at the Master Blend store. En la mañana del 14 de 11 de 2025, dispuse los ingredientes dentro de la refri en la tienda de Master Blend. 
Later in the morning, I baked 4 loaves of sourdough bread. Más tarde, por la mañana, horneé 4 barras de pan de masa madre.

Lunch consisted of “noodle-free lasagna”, salad and sardines. El almuerzo consistía en “lasaña sin fideos”, ensalada y sardinas. 
Today I measured the size of the spice packets sold in the store. Hoy medí el tamaño de los paquetes de especias que se venden en la tienda.

On the evening of November 15, 2025, Padre, Wag, Madre, and I helped a cow give birth. Everything went very well. En el atardecer del 15 de noviembre de 2025, mi padre, mi tío, mi madre y yo ayudamos a una vaca a parir. Todo salió muy bien. 
Dinner was a taco salad. It consisted of romaine lettuce and red cabbage topped with seasoned beef and sweet potato, salsa verde, avocado, sour cream, and a slice of toasted sourdough bread. La cena fue una ensalada de taco. Consistía en lechuga romana y repollo morado cubiertos con carne de res y batata sazonadas, salsa verde, aguacate, crema ácida y una rebanada de pan de masa madre tostada.
