Commentary: Yesterday was an excellent addition to the freekend, and as I told Padre on our evening ride around the beef pasture, I could most certainly see myself making these freekends a more frequent practice. Why? Well, I shall describe yesterday’s highlight as an explanation.
It occurred in the morning, perhaps around 10:30 AM. I was sitting at my desk, playing the freshly released Path of Exile expansion with a beverage – a bubbly seltzer water – near at hand. To my right, meanwhile, was the pleasant sunlit greenery of the thriving garden and the open screen door through which was passing a cool, gentle breeze*. Sometimes, I could hear others out there. Whether it be hammer on wood or the distant whirring of a circular saw, it didn’t matter. It only made the tranquility of Jacobhouse that much more pronounced.
In other words, it was morning of pure contentment. Now, it is time to engage in another.
Final Note: Today I intend to enjoy more Path of Exile, cook an impressive skirt steak for lunch, and help out on the farm in the afternoon. Tomorrow, I will likely return to the grain room to continue organizing and perhaps I will make plans with Madre to venture into Home Depot / Lowes for some freezer-room paint (and sushi).
