This morning Padre and I gave fluids to a calf that was “squirting” a lot. Esta mañana mi padre y yo le dimos líquidos a un ternero que tenía mucho “chorro”. 
Lunch consisted of a fried mixture of eggs, beef, and sweet potatoes. It was accompanied by a salad drizzled with a spicy vinaigrette. El almuerzo consistía en una mezcla frita de huevos, carne de res y batata. Esta estaba acompañada de una ensalada rociada con una vinagreta picante. 
These are the two beef tongues I cooked for dinner. The top one was from a Belgian Blue steer, and the bottom one was from a Wagyu steer. Estas son las dos lenguas de res que cociné para la cena. La de arriba era de un buey Azul Belga y la de abajo era de un buey Wagyu. 
This is the seasoning I added to the beef tongue broth. In this mixture, there were pickled chilies, a whole onion, and four cloves of garlic. Este es el condimento que incluí en el caldo con las lenguas de res. En esta mezcla, había chiles en vinagre, una cebolla entera y cuantro dientes de ajo. 
These are the spices I included in the little bundle I put in the broth with the tongues. There was black pepper, cumin seeds, bay leaves and dried oregano. Final Note: I can’t say exactly where it’s leading, and I can’t say where it’ll end (thank goodness), but I can say that progress is being made step by step.
Here’s to the perception of progress, a great motivator and source of satisfaction… also that’s a nice straight fence I saw from the Jacob office.
