Week of May 11, 2025 – To the Dominican Republic and back.

5/11/2025: Today began in the mid-60s (dry, USA) and warmed into the mid 80s (humid, DR).

5/12/2025: Today began in the mid 70s and warmed into the high 80s. Slightly rainy in the morning, sunny toward noon and afternoon.

5/13/2025: Today began in the high 70s and warmed into the 90s. Quite sunny.

5/14/2025: Today began in the mid 70s and warmed into the low 90s. Quite humid.

5/15/2025: Today began in the mid 70s and warmed into the low 90s. Quite humid.

5/16/2025: Today began in the mid 70s and warmed into the mid 80s. Quite rainy in DR. Dry at home.

5/17/2025: Today began in the mid 60s and warmed into the low 90s. Quite sunny.

Final Note: Both times I have gone to the Dominican Republic thus far, I have been drawn to the people’s love of country, food, and life. On both occasions, it, too, helped me arrive at some personal realizations which, at this time, I’ll keep for the privacy of my own journal entries. Here, I will simply state that it was a phenomenal adventure, that it has rekindled my interest in the Spanish language, and that I most certainly plan on going back.

  1. No doubt it was a trip of a lifetime, The opening picture of this week’s blog captures the essence of. I wanted to go back, The conversations tremendous also. A week to remember with much appreciation for me.
