Summary: Today began with calisthenics, vacuuming out the gaming computer, and piano practice. This was ensued by a beef pasture inspection with Padre which was followed by the cleaning of Jacobhouse. I began writing at 9:15 AM and continued until about 11:15 AM. It was at that point I placed a couple potatoes in the oven for baking and visited Padre at the studio for little while. On returning to Jacobhouse, I fed Doug (sourdough starter) while waiting for the potatoes to finish roasting. Lunch occurred at 12:45 PM and consisted of baked potatoes along with a large Padre-made / Madre-dressed salad.
(6:47 PM Update:) Afternoon tasks were initiated with Master Blend bookkeeping, rest, and school. I next ventured outdoors where I tended to a beef customer and aided with a number of cattle-related activities, including: catching a cow for embryo transfer, capturing two calves for re-weaning, checking the beef pasture* & barn for ailing creatures, and performing the day’s final beef pasture inspection with Padre. On returning to Jacobhouse, I put together a unique dough of Masa Harina, polish white-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, olive oil, salt, and 1.75 tsp of yeast. I am quite interested to see if it rises or not.
Final Note: With the dough that I have made, I intend to make a pizza or calzone topped/filled with mozzarella and sausage. I’ll post pictures of the result in tomorrow’s entry. I am also looking forward to our upcoming out-to-eating at Aneta’s tomorrow (Pierogi Festival).
* I did this while Padre & Wag dissected a calf that had mysteriously died. It turned out to be a form of septicemia.
