9/21/2020 – Son of the cranes.

9/21/2020

[Above: A close-up picture of the three Sandhill Cranes that have been wandering the paddocks as of late. I believe it is a father (big red-crested one), mother (mid-sized and non-crested), and son (small red-crested). Apparently, Sandhill cranes mate for life and usually have 1-2 offspring each year. I believe this post from 5/4/2020 may have a picture in the second slideshow of the same mother and father along with last season’s almost fully grown offspring.]

Summary: This day began with calisthenics, piano practice, and some work on the Principles of Advertising. I next ventured outdoors to inspect the beef pasture with Padre. It proved to be another pleasant ride on account of the plenitude of healthy creatures and because of the cool 68 degree F temperature. A return to Jacobhouse came after the excursion whereupon I worked more on PoA before spending about 1.75 hours on writing. To conclude the morning, I visited the studio at 12:30 PM and ate a lunch of baked potatoes and spring-mix salad at 1:30 PM.

(6:45 PM Update:) Afternoon activities began with more PoA work, writing/preparing a major portion of today’s entry, and brief repose. This was ensued by my stepping outdoors to help with various tasks ranging from tagging two beef calves with Padre and Wag to aiding Madre by cutting, measuring, and gluing together the sewer line. To finish up for an evening, I performed the day’s final beef pasture inspection with Padre.

Here are few pictures from this afternoon:

Final Note: Tomorrow is the first day of autumn. Additionally, I was so productive in class this day (and due to tomorrow’s special nature), I will likely utilize the spare time to recapture the Freekend, Day #1 that escaped on Friday.
