9/18/2020 – A Delayed Freekend

9/18/2020

(Above: A precursor to the first completely sunny day we’ve had in… weeks?)

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, writing, and ride around the beef pasture with Padre. At the end of our ride, we discovered an ailing calf in need of an IV. The next 35-40 minutes were spent attending to the little creature*. This was followed by my return to Jacobhouse where I wrote and baked a loaf of sourdough bread to go with yesterday’s ratatouille. At 11:00 AM, I tended to a Master Blend customer, and at 11:35 AM, I visited Padre in the studio. Lunch occurred at 12:45 PM, and consisted of a burger-steak, baked potato, and a fresh cucumber / onion / tomato salad.

(2:18 PM Update:) Originally I planned on this Friday being the beginning of a freekend. However, it appears that the game I planned on playing is experiencing significant technical difficulties. Thus, I’m not entirely certain if the freekend shall begin today, tomorrow, or the day after. I hope it begins today, as that is what I planned for. If not, however, I will work on school in an attempt to free up time for next week.

In the meantime, here is a piano piece I recently recorded for Freekend, Day #1.

Final Note (4:35 PM): The technical difficulties won, so the day’s remaining tasks will consist of school reading, a beef pasture inspection, and a dinner at the studio. The lattermost may be some form of quesadilla or a ‘delving’ into Ratatouille #2.

*This calf, on account of its gluttony alongside its mother bearing a sizeable milk-filled udder, has seemingly been defecating since its birth and has not stopped since.
