8/2/2020 – Minor Tropical Precipitation

8/2/2020

(Above: Another band of rain incoming at 12:45 PM.)

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, a beef pasture check with Padre, and Jacobhouse tasks. This was ensued by about 2.5 hours of writing, interrupted only once by my venturing outdoors to trade a Master Blend chuck steak for a hefty number of bags*. I next prepared a couple potatoes for baking, ventured over to the studio for a visit**, and after a little while, returned to Jacobhouse where I grilled some beef for lunch. The midday meal occurred at 12:25 PM and consisted of burger-steaks, baked potatoes, and a springmix/spinach salad dressed with beef drippings and balsamic.

(5:00 PM Update:) This afternoon began with preparing a portion of this entry’s content and partaking in some leisure. I next ventured outdoors where I helped tend to a variety of farm-related tasks, including: moving feed buckets, tending to a Master Blend customer, checking animals in the barn for ailments, repairing a water trough, and pitch-forking feed. Now, I am completing this day’s entry before performing the day’s final beef pasture inspection with Padre.

Some form of succulent drought resistant plant with minute pink flowers.

Final Note: Dinner this evening will be quite similar to yesterday’s. It will consist of a reverse-seared New York Strip, springmix salad, watermelon, and a glass of Nero D’Avola wine.

*These will likely all be utilized for Moo-Magic this coming fall.

** It was during this visit that the first band of Tropical Storm Isaias arrived. There was a little bit of rain, and apparently, that is about all that we will see from this weather system.
