(Above: Lunch today: ratatouille served alongside buttered homemade sourdough.)
Summary: Today began with calisthenics, a beef pasture check with Padre, and a few tasks around Jacobhouse (one of which was making sourdough bread dough for lunch). This was ensued by a couple hours of writing until a drive-in Master Blend customer arrived. I provided them with the beef that they desired, and then I wrote for a few more minutes until it was time to install the propane tank / generator beneath Jacobhouse’s front deck. This was a fairly easy task, but we discovered that there was an adapter needed for extending between the 100-lb tank and the generator.
What ensued was a minor adventure to attempt finding the appropriate adapter. I first stopped at Sparr Farm Supply, but they did not have the required accessory. So, I next moved on to Tractor Supply where I found that they also did not have it (they had a two-pronged one that would have worked but no single-prong adapters). I procured a new 20-lb tank and refill for Padre, and started homeward. By that point it was about 1:00 PM, and even though I desired to get back to Jacobhouse, it was too tempting to stop by and procure watermelon and peaches from a produce stand along the way. Lunch occurred at 1:40 PM and consisted of sourdough bread, rebaked ratatouille, and freshly cut peach.
(5:32 PM Update:) The afternoon began with some Master Blend bookkeeping, rest, and leisure. This was ensued by my preparing New York Strips for dinner, rearranging one of the freezers in the Master Blend freezer room, and cutting up one of the watermelons I procured earlier in the day.
Final Note: To conclude this day, I will check the beef pasture with Padre – a task which shall be ensued by reverse searing a couple sizeable New York Strips. This shall be followed by an exquisite dinner at the studio.
